i will ALWAYS say that science and racism go hand in hand based on my own personal experience studying science. watching a lecture on ethics and scientific research, and the lecturer cites the Tuskegee syphilis experiments as unethical without once mentioning the clear anti-Black racism involved. it's crazy how while teaching third year ethics, you can deracialise and sanitise history, probably for comfort. it wouldn't take more than two sentences just to do the bare minimum and acknowledge it.
