How do you like know for sure that God is real in genuinely asking btw i’ve just started going back to church after a bad experience

if i’m honest, i don’t. i feel like the only reason i follow religion is for a sense of comfort or just because it’s been taught to me by my family and i’ve been raised with it.

deep down, i don’t even agree with a lot of the stuff religon teaches (homophobia, women having to cover up, male supremacy exc) but i’m too scared to leave because of the what if. what if it is true and then i’m sent to hell forever, but if a god really was all loving, would he not understand my concern?

i saw something online talking about how men created a male god because of how threatened they where by female power.

women bring life, growing humans within themselves and go through pain close to torture to bring a baby into the world. if this was instead perhaps a portal somewhere on earth where babies where spawned, it would be worshiped, praised and perhaps even religions would be formed around that (based on an analogy i saw on tiktok) but instead, because it’s woman

men saw this and because so threatened that perhaps they created a “man in the sky” who brings life instead, taking the credit from women and disregarding their hard work.

another final point- a god who’s all knowing surely wouldn’t send you to hell for questioning as he knew this would happen, and if you’re a good person who’s kind and moral, shouldn’t that be enough to go to heaven. people spend their whole lives dedicating themselves to a single religion, so how are you telling me 99% of these people are going to hell just cuz they didn’t pick the right one? it just doesn’t make sense to me.
