“I guess you do make a point” Marina admitted, twirling her fingers around the lollipop stick she was holding. She pursed her lips. “I just don’t care enough to take the time to observe people. I shut them out, I don’t want anything to do with them, much less know them in detail. However, I suppose your skill could come in handy in specific scenarios.”

“To be honest, something important I’ve learned since becoming king is that I am endlessly creating myself. We all are, and there’s a lot of work to do to see us become the versions of ourselves we want to be.”

“You sound like an inspirational quote book” Marina couldn’t help but roll her eyes a bit. Still, she still knew that he was right, in a way, but she still didn’t like Auradonians’ tendency to just spur out inspiring speeches here and there as if it was normal. On the Isle, people were way more subtle than that.

Closed Starter: Woops (Aoife/Marina)

Aoife hummed as she examined her map. More than a month had passed since the school year began, and she still struggled with finding her way to her classes.

She sighed, whining in frustration. She just wanted to get to her stupid biology class!

The bean sidhe didn't even see the girl in front of her. And she could have completely phased through her if only she weren't carrying corporeal objects. Instead, she walked straight into the stranger, falling backwards as her books scattered.

"Oh, Gods, I'm sorry," she said. She looked up at the girl... and froze. Holy. Shit.

Marina hadn’t been at Auradon Prep for very long. Judging that it was best for their so called “safety of their citizens”, the authorities had been keeping her in rehab when she first arrived. They probably thought it was best to hide anyone related to Uma to insure that what happened wouldn’t happen again. Ironic how everyone would always praise her cousin for everything she did, but the second she got in trouble, it’s everyone who had to paid the price. Just another reason for her to despise her family. 

Finally, after a while, the King had decided that she was ready to come to AP. So here she was in the middle of the halls, trying to find her way. Back on the Isle, she didn’t really attend class, way less than her mother probably thought she did, so she lost the habit of being surrounded by excited students. The noise, the traffic, it was all tiring, and she had barely been here for a day. The biggest nightmare, though, was trying to find her classes. And of course, since everyone was so generous in Auradon, she was stuck trying to find them herself. 

Marina was at her locker, attempting to open her lock, when someone bumped into her, making her lose her balance, though she managed to not fall. She looked down, only to spot a girl, on the floor, looking confused. 

“Hey, watch where you’re going, geez. It’s not that hard to look where you’re going” she said bwteeen gritted teeth. “I’m not that invisible” she kicked the book that had fallen on her foot, huffing.
