Well Well, I have been accepted in to the coveted Music Residency in Banff, Alberta! I am so excited I wanna scream! AAAAAHHHHHH! haha:)

Well in order for me to get there, I need to humble myself and ask for the support of fans, friends, family, community. We about to make some noise...in the library! The Toronto Public Library is getting local artists to put on shows in the library after hours and I jumped on the idea to join in when local author and hip hop advocate Dalton Higgins asked me. I will be joined with the amazing Jim O'Brien on guitar (and he's also a killer bassist and vocalist!) ...headlining will be Junia T who is on a Canada wide tour blowing up the scene! at Maria A. Shchuka Branch (1745 Eglinton Avenue West) THIS Friday, June 5th @ 9pm! Hope to see you there! Support Local/Live Music!!!

More Power to you!

It was a crazy ice storm that hit Toronto! It is said to be the worst ice storm ever to hit the city, many as in 250,000 + people were without power for days. I had a couple friends stay with me as their entire neighborhood was without power, which means no heat in -10 to -15 degrees weather. It's well...ya know...like really cold to be without heat. Warming centers around the city were set up where people could warm up, charge their phones and sleep. Looking at the weight of the trees covered by ice, looked like a surreal picture or a real cool animation, it was beauty that caused misery. It was great that people became creative and communal. People come through when it comes to these moments of urgent survival and some don't come thru, until they are in that position and need the help themselves. Hope we can all grow to see each other as ourselves, be understanding, show compassion with awareness. Much love to all y'all during this time and more Power to you! xo

Perfect night!

It was a magical night at The Christmas Soul Revue at The Mod Club! Wow! It was great to try out new songs on an eager crowd and support a great cause in the city CP24 CHUM City Christmas Wish and Toy Drive. S/O to The St. Royals for giving me an opening spot to do my thang! *See Pics! ... The St. Royals 16pc band was stellar! so blessed! S/O to Tony from One Fire Movement! Always great support! annnnd one more S/O to my band Shamakah Ali, Jim O'Brien, Michael Constantini and Adam Weir! Y'all made me happy!
