Brennan Lee Mulligan, renowned funny man, known for DMing the most chaotic bit-centric hilarious campaigns, appears as the DM of Critical Role just to be grim and dark and sometimes grimdark. Calamity, Downfall and now Araman. It's so funny. And it's truly impressive. The man is no one-trick pony. He's got versatility. He can DM the most unhinged seasons of D20 that contain more bits than you think possible then turn around and create a serious, harrowing and traumatic story like Araman. I love it. There's a degree of realism to the tone and style of Araman that I've enjoyed. Despite the magic and everything it feels very grounded. It just amuses me because anyone who only knows him from CR will have such a different idea of who he is and what he does.
