Ta-da! My super-late Jim Henson Hour Day pic! Finally, after so long.

So I was gonna post the experiments I designed for contests, but I would be remiss if I didn't post my design process for another experiment: Experiment 366, Xanad.
You know how I made Lonelyhearts a big Beatles reference? I made Xanad a big reference to the movie Xanadu. (Specifically, I was inspired by the sequence animated by Don Bluth's animation studio for the "Don't Walk Away" sequence.)
I've settled on the second design I did of her. Now all I need to do is add color.
So there's an experiment called Lonelyhearts. I've seen a few interpretations of what this experiment might look like. However, I saw the name and went "Like the Beatles?", because I live with two Beatles fans that have a poster of a certain album in their room.
Yes, he is a walrus, because.
Presented here are my design notes and initial design take. I am working on a more finished take and also have a color palette set up for him.
So I forgot to post that I had done this finished art for my version of Lot's Wife. Here she is.
So I went on vacation recently, and I had some downtime, so I looked at the list of experiments from Lilo & Stitch (as you do). This time around, one of the unseen experiments' names jumped out at me. Experiment 564. AKA "Lot's Wife".
I was like "Lot's Wife? Like from Bible?"
So I had to come up with a design for her.
And the end result is this funky goat thing.
Since she's in the 5-Series of experiments (the elemental and environmental manipulators), and also given her name, I figure it only fitting if looking back at her turned things into salt licks/salt pillars. (Also legit, while I was gathering info, I had the thought of "I wonder if this was what it was like for the designers of the Series when they were coming up with how the Experiments looked and behaved.")
The top image is my "design doc" and initial take on them. The second image is my second take on her: mostly the same except for the added hooves and more banded parts.
Transcript for words on both images under the cut!
I swear I still do art, y'all
Here, have Bean Bunny from Muppets as Jax TADC
My half of an art trade with @scoobydoob. Their half of the trade has been finished since months ago.
I was given the prompt of “a headcanon for any of Mystery Inc.” What I settled on took until now to complete. And that idea was “Daphne had to hone her investigative journal skills somewhere. What if when the gang briefly disbanded during the early 1980s, Daphne interned with Ghost Chasers Magazine?”
This is probably also where she partially acclimated to the reality of actual real ghosts.
Bonus background under the cut, cuz I like how it turned out and there are some details hidden in the final pic!
“You know, Tim... Sometimes I get the thought that we’re getting too old for stuff like this.”
Jiminy and Timothy having a heart-to-heart conversation about... important matters, let’s say.
Anyway, to make a long story short, Digit in a Princess Rosalina-inspired outfit is very Gender in my opinion.
Happy Jim Henson Hour Day, everyone!
Did a slight redesign for Specs, one of my Drak Pack OCs.
Literally just the face shape changed. Everything else (wardrobe, body, etc.) is still the same (more or less).
So there’s an art challenge specifically for Gravedale High called Gravedaletober. Today’s prompt was “Original Character”, so I brought back Eric “Orpheus” Creighton! You know, the Phantom boy I created with @blapis-blazuli!
Also my first time really using Krita!
(Background is from Gravedale High, cuz. Just cuz.)
I just drew for the first time in a while and
(rainbow wig is implied, but this is merely a pencil drawing)
Wow, I haven’t drawn these two in forever!
My new tablet came in! So I drew a Timothy to test it out! (I also experimented with colored lineart a bit.)
Y’all remember Specs, right?
That’s right. ‘Nother Drak Pack OC.
And yes, singular OC. Their personalities are different, but they’re still essentially the same person.
Meet Helena Stevenson and Jacqueline Hyde. Like Specs and the Drak Pack, she’s a descendant of a famous monster. Unlike the Drak Pack, Helen focuses more on the good she can do as a human and tries her best to hide and distance herself from her family’s history. Mainly because Helen knows better than anyone that if left unchecked, Jackie can be a short, unpredictable gremlin and get up to mischief. Not to the level of supervillainy, just things like pranks and petty stuff.
Helen & Jackie have an adjustable walking stick that hides the mixture needed for the transformation between forms. Her superpowers are namely superspeed (useful for getting out of places in a jiffy) and the ability to change size (both larger and smaller; the longer Jackie is around at a given time, the easier it is for her to grow larger up to a certain height; Jackie herself starts off relatively short).
Eventually (after some shenanigans ensue and everyone warms up to everyone else), Helen & Jackie and Specs form a branch of the Drak Pack, jokingly referred to internally as the “Back Pack”. After all, there are other supervillains out there besides O.G.R.E., and the main Pack is a bit preoccupied stopping that organization in particular. (Specs also becomes the only person in the group who is able to refer to Jackie as “Hydei”.)
I actually have an earlier drawing of Helen so y’all can see her main outfit! It’s under the cut!
A piece I did for a Hanna-Barbera Secret Santa for a group I’m part of!
Everyone’s playing in the snow!
Speed Buggy doesn't really do too well for too long in cold conditions, so everyone pitched in to build him a snow garage.
Tinker got the idea of decorating it, but he soon got a bit jumbled up. Shaggy's getting up to help him, don't worry.
Scooby's decided to make a snow angel, while Mudsy, Yogi, and Cindy have decided to make snowmen. Well, a snow-guard and a snow-bear.
Not bad for a Christmas at a haunted lodge, huh? (Yes, it's Hairy's Haunting Lodge because I love Casper's First Christmas and thought all of them meeting here would be cute.)
I hope this gift reaches its intended receiver and that they like it!
✍ Jiminy Cricket?
This is like, a week or so late, but here you go!
(Send me a ✍ and a character and I’ll draw the character horribly on MS Paint.)
