This is a blog I’m using to post all the stuff for my project, Anima. Owner and artist is @takendruid. A good chunk of these guys used to be My Hero Academia OCs. Ripped them straight from BNHA into their own thing.
Seeing this makes me giggle actually, because one of my OCs was made entirely based on Jason and his last name was stolen from Leon (his first name was stolen from Ethan Winters)
Found myself in the “OC I made before character in media with a similar concept was released” situation many OC creators find themselves in.

I MADE CAROLINE (months) BEFORE CAROL WAS REVEALED AND CHAPTER 4 WAS RELEASED they are both abusive and controlling wealthy mothers with a missing child named Carol/Caroline (Caroline’s often referred to as Carol), and also have an eldest child who is alt, and rebellious against them/clearly fucking dislikes them.
I say missing and not dead because Dess is missing, meanwhile Felix IS dead. But you can describe a dead child as a “missing child” because they’re not there anymore, even if it doesn’t technically fall under the literal definition. (I’m pretty sure anymore… it makes sense in certain contexts).
Her design isn't final, I just wanted to share this because of this absolutely silly drawing of Rui and Malcolm
Malcolm is always very tickled from people discovering the massive discrepency between who Arachne (Rui) is vs what he looks like, specifically because their reaction is always "WHAT THE FUCK DO YOU MEAN HE LOOKS LIKE THAT"
This will get more but uhhh Anima OCs as KPop Demon Hunters!
Minnie is Ichigo’s GF, so Minnie is Jinu in the AU. Also because Ichigo is a lesbian and I refuse to make her like men for the sake of a single AU, especially when the men who fit Jinu aren’t attracted to women anyway.
I have a lot of Anima stuff I haven’t posted yet so I should probably get on that soon
I plan on making a beast of a text post talking about this AU (I.e. it’s already written, I just wanted to draw stuff first) but then I went down a rabbit hole of Minato and his non-biological kids, aka his team. So I wanted to draw the sillies.
This AU is basically just “hey what if anima were in Naruto?” Not “what if Anima characters were in Naruto” or “what if Naruto characters were in Anima?”
Anima is my own personal project I’m working on, but it’s also the name I have given to “animal hybrids”. In this AU though, Jinchurikis are anima of a tailed beast’s animal (dolphin or horse in the case of that one horse-dolphin tailed beast), whether they be born that way or synthetic (forced to be that way). Rin was born a turtle anima because bbg has no other animal association (to my knowledge, I have yet to actually watch Shippuden). The Uchihas are corvids, and Obito and Madara specifically are ravens. And Kakashi is a grey wolf, you can fight me.
Switching anima basically means they can decide whether or not they look like hybrids, and physical anima means they will always look like hybrids. There is also non-presented anima who are anima that do not look physically like hybrids. They are still hybrids, but it’s not overtly obvious through animal features.

For some major fucking context:
Firstly, my OC's original designs (Lily and Liam had... other old designs, which is why Lily is blonde. But I'm not touching that lore with a 30 ft pole). Asuka does not have an old design, just image younger Hawks. I was 15.
Also Liam and Lily did not intentionally fall into the "twins with similar names" trope, they were not originally twins. They were half-siblings very close in age with similar names, and very different appearances.
Guy in blue with two-toned hair is Ayato. He turned into Alec but Alec is so far removed from Ayato's actual character, and Ayato and Rin were genuinely the same fucking character so I just combined the two??
Now onto the BNHA characters:
Hawks was VERY important to Rui's story in BNHA (bro's the entire reason I made Rui), I just never had a reason to include him until now
Dabi was stolen for two reasons. Firstly, dabihawks. Second, June used to be a Todoroki before I changed that last year. She never had a reason to be in Anima until last night as of writing this. Decided to bring in Dabi but change their relationship to siblings instead of uncle and niece.
Bakugo is Ina's cousin in BNHA. She's older than him by a year, and they're like siblings. She... used to be his daughter, but we don't need to go into that, but that's why she looks so much like him for no fucking reason.
Anyway. Bakugo is not one of my favourite characters, and I'm not very attached to him. I just love Ina dearly, she was my second ever BNHA OC and he is so intrinsincly conencted to him that I couldn't force the two apart.
It's not perfect, but I did @actuallyrea's challenge where you draw your characters spelling out their names. I really want to do this with a bunch of my other OCs, but I wanted to make sure I got these three done for ArtFight (which I managed to do btw, https://artfight.net/~takendruid if you're interested in attacking me~)
At the top is Cherry, the youngest of the trio. She is just going in on it, very excited. She's very flexible and athletic, so she gets it done very well. (She would have nothing on their dad though were he to do this)
In the middle is Andy, although his real name is Anand. Andy is just a nickname. They're all hybrids but he's the only one who can actually physically have animal features. He's flexible enough to get the words properly, but he's not coordinated enough to reliably do it. Also he's a tiger hybrid, and he's the middle sibling but first adopted.
At the bottom is the oldest, Ben. His full name is Benjamin, and he didn't want to do it but was basically forced to by his younger siblings.
Also how I think my other OCs would do it if they had to (Rui is their adoptive dad):
I know the dialogue is a bit forced, but I feel like this properly gets across how I feel about shipping adopted siblings (it’s hard being a Batfam enjoyer when the most popular ships are the kids…).
I’m not an antishipper, I just really don’t like these types of ships or shippers.
Finally gve Rose a proper design! I tried designing her ages ago, but never finished it. Then I made the Xilonen-based character and decided I had to redesign Rose a little because they both had afros, but I had been debating on changing Rose's hair for a while already, so it wasn't a hard decision.
There is obviously nothing wrong with two people having the same hair style, but I want my characters to stand out from each other. So different hair styles!!
The reason the grey bits on her suit aren't sheer is because she has vitiligo. I have two characters with vitiligo, and neither of them have really any visible skin in their suits purely because they could easily be idntified by their vitiligo.
I love him already. I'm not usually a huge fan of jester characters. They're neat, but I've never been a huge lover of them. However... I fucking love this guy.

I think it's because he has been scientifically engineered (by me :3) to be things I love - because, duh, he's my original character - which is why I love him so much. I love orange and purple as a colour combo. I love ginger characters.
Like... I love these guys. Adult Ichigo, Childe, that very specific version of Roy, Robin, and Leah are all so hot. Would. (Akito, and Ichigo the entire story of Bleach except the prologue are both minors, I don't consider them hot. But I do really like their designs! The Ichigo down below is not adult Ichigo, just to be clear)
But also... Bleach is my favourite series of all time, let me be autistic abt it for a moment. LOOK AT HIM!!!
I think Ichigo is singlehandedly to blame for my love and obsession with ginger characters because Bleach was my first anime, and is my biggest special interest.
As much as I love Jason Todd, and he is literally my wife, I don't fuck with ginger Jason... I hate it so much, it's so wrong... He has black curly hair with a white streak post-revival, I will not take any other answers!
I think my love for ginger characters has also made me super passionate about the debate over whether or not literally red hair is ginger or not... it's NOT, it's red! Deeper orange that almost looks red? Ginger. Diluc/Endeavor/MJ Watson? THAT SHIT IS RED, NOT GINGER.
So, I love Jason Todd. A lot! I am in love with him. That said, Will's name is completely unrelated to him.
This is Will Todd. I thought of his first name while out for a walk, and decided it fit him really well. Then when I got home, I decided to look up last names.
Will is a red fox, and red foxes are native to Britain. So I decided to look up British last names meaning "fox", and Todd came up!
I went with it because, while a funny coincidence that he has the same last name as my wife, it worked really well. Funny little coincidence, nothing more.
I then suddenly remembered about 30 seconds later that Jason's dad... is called Willis Todd.
I am fucking crying in the corner. I'm not changing Will's name! Especially because his full name would actually be William Todd. It's just a massive fucking coincidence that his name is so similar to the dad of my favourite character rn.
Saw the top image of the bird with the Batboys, immediately clocked that the bird on the far right was a superb fairywren, and had to draw them as 4 of my bird characters (Malcolm's hybrid animal is a superb fairywren)
Ismini is a small owl, Corvin is a raven, Robin isn't a hybrid, and Malcolm is a superb fairywren. Malcolm and Robin's dad is also a superb fairywren, but Isaac has to be dead for Robin to be a vigilante.
