Labor day is cute because all of the people who work jobs like mine (lots of heavy lifting, being on your feet for 10 hours, incredibly physical work) and more physical jobs- the same people who fought for the 40 hr week when that was a huge deal, fought for a weekend, fought for Sundays off, fought for workplace conditions to be liveable, fought against child labor- are the people today who still have to work it, while white collar workers and even regular office workers get the day off.
