A quick sketch of Antinous and his curly hair. (Based on the plates in Die Bildnisse des Antinous.)

Found I had another photo of the Mondragone Antinous that wasn’t so blurred, huzzah~! (Been wanting to see this particular bust for a while now so was very happy to meet him in person.)
Side portrait of Osiris Antinous. My favourite out of the Osiris statues of him; check out those curls!
Got to see the famous Mondragone Antinous! Was very happy although my camera phone is a bit rubbish, so only this one turned out clear.
Went to the Louvre in Paris recently and saw this display of Antinous and Hadrian. Quite liking the lighting in this one :)

ME: Yes, and her name is Proserpina!
It’s about time but can we just talk about how beautiful this looks? Also congrats to all of those who fought for this!
This is what did it. This is what finally made me cry.
Think of all the children born today who will never know a life where marriage wasn’t legal for everyone, no matter their sexual orientation. It will literally be an alien concept to them. One of those weird things from the past. The future looks pretty bright.
Congratulations USA! :D
A messy sketch and render of a randomly blonde Antinous.

Bought three Hadrian coins, and then realized after lining them up that I can see him age! From left to right, on the reverse sides, are the Goddesses Pax (for promoting Peace), Fortuna (for Fortune) and Salus (for Health). The last one was probably added due to Hadrian’s failing health towards the end of his life.
Ended up being the only one in the Roman Room when it opened the other morning, not that I’m complaining. Twas nice to be able to move freely and do some research!
