A Murder Drones question: what is your opinion/thoughts on the crackship of J X Thad?

J is just the edgy sad Uzi of the Disassembly Drones, and Thad is the happy lovable N of the Worker Drones. It's them parallels, yo.

Also, it completes the triumvirate ☘️. Uzi has N, and Lizzy has V. So where does that leave Thad? With J, of course. He's the third of the WD group (if you don't count Doll 🎎 who is an independent party). He can help drag J out of her Pearl-inspired angst with her dead boss. He's got the misplaced confidence of a teenage jock and of course, J's gonna hate him at first (she hates everyone at first) but then she'll be protective of him 😘

It's time for my annual free roleplaying game event!

The last few years I had some great new Tumblr friends sign-up, and would love to see more of you as there are even more games this year! In fact, Tumblr has so consistently had the best new to me players join these games, that I now only spend advertising money on Tumblr Blazes.

The games are all run through my Discord server which you'll receive the invite to after you sign-up. The server is on the small side, queer friendly, anti-AI, and primarily based in WA state, but we have members from around the world.

What are Jax's true thoughts on Gangle? Like i know she likes to bully Gangle in particular but we see moments where it seems like she actually thinks that they're friends almost (like when she says "what? She likes it when i'm mean to her") and ofc the scene with her in Jax's mind

I think Jax takes his complex feelings on his mother out on Gangle, but tries to justify it to himself through delusions that it's not ACTUALLY abuse, even though it is. Most abusers don't ever think of themselves as abusers, and tend to make up a reality in which their abuse is either not that big a deal or it's somehow warranted.

And from Gangle's perspective, she was at a very vulnerable place when she joined, and Jax took control of their relationship. She formed a bit of a codependent bond with him even though it just mostly caused her pain. Losing a friend who frequently hurts you can fill you with complex feelings that are really hard to make sense out of.

Yea i think there should’ve been more of the others but then again…. Jax is one of the main characters. She’s one of the main antagonists. (If not THE main antagonist…..)

Also yall are way too quick to dismiss Jax’s trauma… yes she’s a shitty person but there’s a reason *why*. Some people need to learn what the term ‘complex’ means. She’s not pure evil. She’s a messy, dickhead of a bully.

But there’s a reason. There are reasons. You just pick and choose what to show because you can’t handle an ACTUALLY complex female character.

If Jax has taught me one thing it's that most cis people won't ever get it.

"It feels forced."

"It came out of nowhere."

"There were no signs."

"It doesn't make sense."

All of these things speak to a lack of knowledge about how real trans experiences work. About how real repression of non-cis identities work.

And for the record? Every single one of those statements was said to me when I first came out. The same criticism being used for a fictional character is also used to invalidate trans people too.

I think something a lot of individuals missed, or maybe my interpretation is just entirely wrong, is that Jax is not Leeroy.

So, unlike everyone else (seemingly), Leeroy got his brain scanned at his lowest point in his life. He had admitted something deeply personal (presumably him questioning his gender identity) to his very manipulative and abusive mother. She did such things, he pushed her and ran. In his mind, there is a good chance he just killed her. Then, hes homeless.

Loneliness and isolation are powerful and dangerous things, thats partially Jax's whole character arc. Leeroy wasn't even at rock bottom, he was below the rock. And then, his brain got scanned.

That scan we know as jax. A manipulative and abusive person, who pushes everyone away and almost craves loneliness and isolation, feeling he deserved it.

Jax as a person is not leeroy, HE IS LEEROY'S ROCK BOTTOM

Imagine your lowest and most depressing moments in your life as person. Jax is literally the embodiment of self hate, self nothing, and entering a spiral that may end you. They are not the same people, Jax arguably isn't even a person, but an emotional state.

We see this at the end in the slide show. Leeroy, seemingly, is friends with the irl versions of everyone, (or that's how i interpreted it). They found each other, fate had it. But that's the thing, he's friends with them. He's hanging with them at The triangle bar, run by someone his digital self hates and is jealous of. He goes onto the same bus as them.

Something else to note is that Leeroy hasn't even transitioned irl, where hes in a much better headspace and people he's friends. Thats why i didn't use she/her in this post, because in neither life had he transitioned, even in the one hes okay in. They're just not ready yet and thats fine. Like Goose said, he goes by Lee for the time being but hasn't transitioned.

Sorry if this was a bit rambling, i just wanted to get my thoughts and interpretation out there.
