What do you think would've made Johan fixated/captivated on the reader to begin with? The kind of interest where he spared her life (wish I could say the same about the cruelty) and eventually developed into his own way of protective care? Feels like love isn't exactly the word lol. But what would happen within Johan to make him *love* her close to what he has for Nina/Anna?

What Would Make Johan Fixated on Someone?

Johan isn’t incapable of connection, he just experiences it very differently from most people. For him, what others call love is more about possession, reflection, and resonance. The reason Nina remains the center of his world is because she is his mirror.. or his ‘other self’. Anyone else who comes close would have to strike that same nerve.

So what kind of person could spark that fixation? The kind of person he would spare, obsess over, and protect in his own deranged way?

I want to break this down from both a psychological and neurological standpoint, because it’s such an interest of mine… I feel like it wouldn’t do full justice if I don’t fully explain how I believe it works. Also, I love neuroscience. I’m about to nerd out on you.

Books read in 2024; asterisks * denote rereads. Favorites this year were Ian McEwan & Donna Tartt, LOVE a good coming-of-age story with a perceptive & melodramatic protagonist set in that liminal period between childhood and adulthood!! Pretty sure the main reason I grabbed the Donna Tartt books while thrifting was just from seeing the occasional tumblr user obsess about them, and oh man I was not disappointed! It is rare that I speed through a 600-page novel but, ugh, the way she puts words together is so riveting. Dickensian levels of detail! Speaking of which, I did actually read a Dickens book this year, Great Expectations, which ended up on my list a few years ago after a stranger on the bus tried to initiate conversation with me by asking what I was reading. He said that Great Expectations was his favorite book, and I was like, “oh cool, I read that in high school, I liked it,” and he was like, super excited that I had also read his fave classic. Well, later on after I got off the bus, I realized I had gotten that title confused with The Great Gatsby (which I did read in high school along with millions of other Americans probably) and I felt bad for accidentally deceiving Random Guy on the Bus, so the next time I saw a copy of Great Expectations at the thrift store, I picked it up. Not bad!!

What else? I’m very late to the Elena Ferrante party, but I enjoyed My Brilliant Friend in text form wayyy better than my attempt to listen to the audiobook five years ago (I just could not follow the audio version and couldn’t get into the story). Charles Peterson’s Touch Me I’m Sick was a fave photo book of the year; it had been on my list since 2015, whoops (I had to interlibrary loan it). This year I read a pretty even mix of books from my to-read list (earliest titles added 2015), books from my to-read pile (items I have thrifted within the past few years), and random interruptions to those lists. Oh, I also read a TON of essays and articles about artists’ books (not listed above) for the class I took at Rare Book School in the summer. I read a couple painfully healing books about motherhood and adoption (The Primal Wound / Nancy Newton Verrier & The Emotionally Absent Mother / Jasmin Lee Cori) that I wish I could’ve encountered earlier in my life but also who knows, maybe this year was cosmically the perfect time for my brain to be receptive. I picked up Alas, Babylon because it was a title I remembered seeing my dad reading at the kitchen table one time when I was a kid. (It’s a 1959 novel about surviving in post-nuclear apocalypse small-town Florida; there is some light misogyny and racism of its era, but also the librarian plays an important role, which I thought was sweet. A couple paragraphs are devoted to the librarian’s perennial struggles [pre-apocalypse] to secure funding, to keep the populace’s attention in spite of modern distractions like tv and air conditioning!) Finally, I also really enjoyed Moon Shot (which I took with me to the eclipse on April 8); here's what I wrote about it in my reading spreadsheet: “The writing style wasn’t particularly phenomenal, yet I was still moved to tears several times while reading … about witnessing the beauty of space, the thrill of exploration, the astronauts’ successes and tragedies, and at the end, the simplicity and sentimentality and symbolism of the Apollo-Soyuz friendships. I can’t help but wonder what the fuck it is about billionaires … that they seemingly don’t become overwhelmed with the desire to save and protect our fragile planet after seeing it from space, a feeling many astronauts seem to have experienced.”

In general, I do most of my reading on the bus during my commutes to and from work, so I get in about 30-60 minutes per day of reading. But also this year I had several incidents of extensive sustained silent reading due to long waiting periods during travel – I read at least the first 100 pages of The Secret History while I was stuck overnight at Newark Airport in July; in August, I read almost all of Parable of the Talents on an Amtrak from Atlanta to Greensboro, then a chunk of Great Expectations on the way back. It was so nice to have that kind of IMMERSIVE, hours-long reading experience again! And especially with such richly detailed & descriptive stories! In 2025 I hope to be able to devote more time to slow, analog reading.

Johan Liebert - born March 2nd 1975 at about 6am in Prague

So I used astrology to put a finger on a pretty plausible birthdate for Johan (and Nina, though this is only about Johan).

Now, to preface, and I really can’t stress this point strong enough: astrology cannot account for how abuse/trauma will change someone. Certain placements and aspects can suggest that someone might experience x kind of abuse or trauma in life, but it can’t guess how bad it will be or how that person will react and what the longterm effects might be.

It’s pretty safe to say that Johan is the one that got fucked up the most and Nina’s quite a lot better adjusted. Some of these placements on fit Nina more obviously than they do Johan, but even with Johan you can see these traits warped through abuse/trauma if you know how to look at it.

Now, on the aspect of twins: because they each have different birth times (you can’t have two babies like literally at the same moment), given how long apart they could’ve been born apart from each other, they very likely have different rising signs (and thusly house placements.) I’m assuming the twins were their mother’s first birth, which are going to be more difficult/longer births, so it’s v plausible they were born a few hours apart from each other, which gives enough time for one rising sign to pass over to the next (or even another after it, depending on which sign it is and how long it stays on the horizon.)

[Rising sign, or the ascendant, is the sign that was rising on the horizon at your exact time of birth. The ascendant places all the signs in houses as well, and while the signs are divided into equal 30°, the houses aren’t, so this is why twin natal charts, even with all the planets in the same sign, can read very differently.]

The ascendant, as well as most of the sign placements, are pure speculation on my part, being both familiar with his personality and all the signs and planets. I guessed he was born in Prague in the Czech Republic, but of course he could be born somewhere else, but that doesn’t affect anything but the rising sign, since that (and the houses) are the only thing based on the exact place of birth (the planets in the signs are based on their relation to earth as a whole so it doesn’t matter where you were born.)

It’s noted that the twins were born in the spring, and the wiki has an approximate birthdate of May listed, which… for astrological purposes, is wrong. For the actual dating and chronology of the manga, it could be totally correct, though, that’s the only hitch here because they are, after all, fictional characters that astrology doesn’t really work for.

So given a “spring” birthdate, I figured the twins felt most like Pisces Sun to me and Scorpio Moon. The moon only stays in one sign for 2.5 days, so I just had to go through the dates of Pisces until I found one that had a placement of Pisces Sun and Scorpio Moon. I did a similar thing with placing the rising sign and getting the birth time: going through different birth times until I hit Aquarius Rising.

The rest of the planets and their signs were based off of the ephemeris for that year. (An ephemeris is pre-calculated table of where all the planets are in all the signs and to the exact degree.) You can see a screenshot of it there, with March 2nd and 3rd highlighted.

Johan Liebert is Pisces Sun, Scorpio Moon and Aquarius Rising.

Aquarius rising is cool, aloof, kind of weird and intimidating. Aquarius is known as both the humanitarian and the alien; they’re an abstract, weird air sign who loves shocking and impressing people.

A rising sign is what you present to the world at first glance; if you met someone and were to instantly guess their sign (meaning their sun sign) you’d probably end up guessing their rising sign.

And Johan does definitely come off as a kind of cool, calm, weirdo. But somehow approachable. And he does have a somewhat skewed humanitarian streak, which is seen in his interest in the laws regarding the rights of children and, even though for nefarious means, his ability to listen to people’s concerns (such as with Karl and Suk,)

Aquarius Ascendant may feel “special” or “different” and they have felt that way their entire life. Sometimes they feel like they are excluded from everyone else, like they are outside the window looking in. They have the ability to observe and deduce what needs to be done. Pisces Sun

Pisces is one of the dual signs, and this is clearly seen with Johan and Nina–they seem to contain one side of Pisces each.

There are two sides to the Pisces Sun Sign personality; lost, isolated and depressed or visionaries who may be involved with healing, art, psychic arts or other spiritual practices. One feels they must choose between feeling human or divine, while the other knows how to incorporate both aspects for the greater good.

Johan would be that lost, isolated and depressed side of Pisces. He definitely has a streak of that psychic empathy that Pisces is known for. And others even remark on this in the manga. He has an ability to see into people and pinpoint things about them–especially their emotions–and use it to his advantage. He’s a badly adjusted Pisces, but still a Pisces. He even has that dreamy look that some Pisces have.

It should also be noted that, becuase of his age, he may not have come into his sun sign fully. Most people don’t really feel their sun sign to its fullest until around 30 years old; Johan’s personality in his early twenties would be dominated by his rising and moon signs most prominently.

Scorpio Moon

Scorpio moon is an intense moon. The emotions are severe and deep and virulent. This is the one of the big three (ascendant/sun/moon) that seems to display itself the most in him, and this might be due to trauma. We are prominently our moon sign as children, and the abuse and trauma he experienced as a child could’ve halted some personal growth, keeping his moon as a more prominent aspect of expression.

Scorpio Moon lives for emotional intensity. They have the ability to see through anyone right to their innermost feelings. This can be disturbing to some people and intriguing for others. They have a need for change and rebirth. Their life may be full of drama and upheaval which they feel is out of their control. But if their life begins to feel “normal” they are the first one to create some test for someone in their life just to create excitement. Emotional drama fulfils them.

Scorpio Moon has a great presence, even when they are shy. They need to spend a lot of time learning to control their emotions. Their powers can be used for good or evil, as the saying goes, and many times it depends on how they were raised as children. They can be jealous, possessive and self-indulgent. They can also be rather destructive, both to themselves and others. On the good side, they can be vulnerable, intelligent and ambitious.

Scorpio Moon is tenacious, and once they want something, they are like the dog that won’t let go. Their stubbornness can stand in their own way at times, or it can help them overcome bad habits. They tend to be emotional, materialistic, sensual and secretive. They are also very creative. Their fighting spirit is strong and it is difficult for them to admit defeat. They can be fiercely competitive, especially with those of their own sex. With the opposite sex, they can often be wrapped around the other person’s little finger, wanting to indulge that person’s every whim. They could use a little balance in their life in this area.

Charismatic, Scorpio Moon attracts many, and must exercise caution so they are not tempted into multiple relationships. They don’t like to be criticised. They are seldom mainstream in their ideals and don’t always conform to all of society’s rules.

The rest of his chart was taken from the ephemeris for that birthdate, and not based on my own speculation. However it also seems to fit him perfectly. (If nothing else, please read about his Chiron placement, it’s fucking eerie)

Chiron in Aries, Mercury in Aquarius, Venus in Aries, Mars in Capricorn, Jupiter in Pisces, Saturn in Cancer, Uranus in Scorpio, Neptune in Sagittarius, Pluto in Libra.

Chiron in Aries

I’m starting out with his Chiron placement because it’s the coolest and creepiest part of coming up with this natal chart for a fictional character.

Chiron is an asteroid, and it’s known as the Wounded Healer. It reveals the place in life where one is most wounded (and reveals the place where the most healing needs to, and can be done) Johan’s Chiron is in Aries, the sign that rules the self and, physically, the head.

Chiron in Aries affects the sense of self. They may find themselves on a voyage of self-discovery or need to overcome feelings of worthlessness when Chiron is placed here. Chiron deals with healing, so they may need to discover ways of healing themselves. This sign is associated with headaches, head wounds and other injuries in this area. They may need to deal with an actual physical injury like these or it could be a psychological wound to their sense of self. If they look at themselves they will see their worth. They need to assert themselves and track their accomplishments, take charge in order to heal themselves. They will learn to value themselves and how to care for themselves. They’ll find that once they value themselves, others will too.

Johan’s quest to rid himself from the world, this very strange suicidal sense, seems to stem from a very strangely expressed lack of self worth. Not to mention, the whole head wounds thing. There’s absolutely no way Chiron could be better placed for Johan.

Mercury in Aquarius

Mercury in Aquarius likes to break the rules when expressing themselves. While not really flamboyant, they do have a knack for stirring things up. They take great delight in exposing the biases of others. They are the first to contradict someone and give their own, very different perspective. They love intellectual debates. Quick and alert, they are very observant.

They are often detached and seem to have their own agenda. They can be intimidating to others because of their innate superiority complex. At the same time, Aquarius Mercury can be absolutely delightful to be around. They are interesting, quirky and insightful.

Mercury in Aquarius is often labeled eccentric. They love controversy and chaos, and have little respect for tradition. They are intuitive and can judge a person’s character very accurately. They are fair minded and believe in equality and fair play. They are humanitarians and love to help those who are less fortunate than themselves. They are often involved in social reform. [This is plausibly true, given Johan’s interest in law and the rights of children. He seems to have a humanitarian sense and a longing to prevent what happened to him as a child happening to anyone else. Though this is not very well developed, as he has a shit ton of other issues to deal with that abstract this.]

Mercury in Aquarius is witty and open minded at times, but they can also be very stubborn. They often make good speakers or writers. They are often very original and their ideas may be ahead of their time. Ideas often just appear to them out of thin air. They are more loyal to concepts than they are to people. They may play the devil’s advocate just to have a debate.

They can see the big picture, and will lay out the facts as needed. They prefer to explore the more outlandish and far reaching ideas. Science fiction isn’t much of a leap for Mercury in Aquarius. Resourceful, they can use their powers for good or to drive others to distraction. They are usually well disciplined when it comes to intellectual pursuits. They are versatile, practical and somewhat revolutionary.

Venus in Aries

We have no sense of Johan’s romantic Venus, but we can see Venus in Aries in him through other relationships (I’m unsure if you’d say he has any friends per se, but he does have colleagues and acquaintances)

[Also as a side note, as this is from a blog dedicated to the idea that Johan and Tenma are perfect for each other, well. Johan’s venus is perfect for Tenma’s venus (yes I’ve done Tenma’s natal chart because we do know his birthdate and time & location so how could I not look it up)]

In friendship, Aries Venus likes to be the alpha personality in the group. They are generous, [this might not seem evident, but we may have a glimpse of this trait in him when he offers to get a picture book for one of the kids he had playing his weird ‘let’s fucking die by falling off of a building’ game.] exciting and confident. They are not afraid to push the envelope just to see what happens. They are direct and honest, and won’t try to pull the wool over your eyes. They have no patience with self-pity and insecurity. Those born with Venus in Aries are admired because of their independence, confidence and sheer energy. They have a lust for life that makes them attractive. Instead of talking about what they want to do, they’re out there doing it.

Mars in Capricorn

Much of his Mars, especially in this business sign of Capricorn, seems to be hinted at in his success with running a money laundering venture as a fucking teenager. He’s obviously good with business and money.

Mars in Capricorn is orderly and subdued. They like to be in control of their life. They are determined, but they keep everything low-key. They like to be on top of things in their life. They like to set their goals and focus on achieving them. They are not flamboyant, but they can be ambitious. They want to be secure, and they will do whatever it takes to succeed.

When Capricorn Mars is angry, it is a level-headed, cool type of anger. They have a strong sense of self-control that encompasses all areas of their life. They don’t like to see anything go to waste. They are afraid of letting loose and getting out of control.

Capricorn Mars is responsible and reliable. They work hard and they keep their nose to the grindstone. They have a tendency to become workaholics. They want to attain status and recognition for their work. They are very practical and can turn a profit from almost anything they put their minds to. They do tend towards caution, which can be detrimental in some cases. They are also skeptical of new ideas. It is difficult for them to break old habits. They can be pessimistic and may come across as too serious.

Jupiter in Pisces

This one seems to be stunted/altered heavily. He doesn’t have any aspects to this that would position it poorly. His Jupiter is in the first house, the house of Aries and the self. Jupiter is a planet that expands and gives luck. The Pisces Jupiter aspect that seems to be most prominent in Johan is the Neptunian (Pisces is ruled by Neptune) desire to escape (shown in how he’s trying to erase all trace of himself from the world.) We can take some of this into consideration:

On the negative side, they may drift so far into fantasy that they rely on drugs or other methods to take them away from reality. Honestly … what kind of woman could Johan fall in love with

OutofChara; I’ve reflected on this a lot in regards to planning my Johan x OC fanfiction…and it’s been a bit difficult. Johan’s “love” has solely been surrounded by his only attachment to the world – and it’s his sister. No one could really come in between that. Some people tend to believe that your wife/husband should come first above all else and I don’t agree with that notion.

This would never apply to Johan.

So a woman he’d fall in love with would understand that his sister would never come 2nd.

But I mainly centered his romantic interests to be the complete opposite of him in certain regards. His partner would have wounds of their own, deep – torturous scars but their response to their trauma would be something worth learning for him. They know darkness and yet they yearn for the light where Johan has always tried to run from it. They would teach him about the world with careful hands, their touch and voice would be delicate but firm. They would never pry anything out of him and respect his boundaries, especially when it comes to talking about his pain. They would also be wise and thoughtful enough to see through that nameless smile of his; the façade he wears to fool the world - but Johan could never fool her. He needs someone who is extremely empathetic and understanding. Someone who is not easily frightened by his demons but not foolish enough to ignore them.

The woman who will fall for him would be graceful and divine in his eyes, but she will not be pure like an angel. She would have a past, blood on her hands maybe – understand the need to take a life if it means preserving the lives of others. She wouldn’t be overly self-righteous and push her views onto him but definitely would not tolerate Johan to needlessly murder or manipulate. But since any romantic interests could possibly only occur post monster, I’d like to think Johan’s killing days are over so she would just have to accept his past.

Okay, first of all I realise there’s no real point to my saying this, especially as most of said comments weren’t even on tumblr but I just sort of need to vent? Please bear with me.

So this was there in a discussion thread of Episode 12 Berserk(1997). And from what I gathered these were all people watching it the first time. So they don’t even have the flimsy excuse of post-eclipse rage.

“Lol. Always knew he was a fag.”

“Makes sense with how he looks.”

“ Man I used to think he was a cool character but I don’t know how I feel about the fact that he likes to take it up the ass.”

“ Oh that’s a twist. The pretty boy is a slut after all.”

and the classic

“I’m not homophobic or anything but I always knew there was something wrong with Griffith . It makes sense now that we know he has an affair with that old dude.”

Where to even start.

I honestly don’t have the heart to step into the recurrent derogatory homophobic themes right now ,but to start with let’s talk a little about consent.

Let me take a moment to clarify that in my opinion what happened between Gennon and Griffith was completely, explicitly and undoubtedly Rape. Because consent isn’t just physical submission or a verbalisation. It is a feeling of intent. An honest desire. Did Griffith want to sleep with Gennon? No.

So was there real consent? No.

Was Gennon aware of this? Yes. (Because honestly if he had thought that there was complete consent, Why would he bring money into the picture?)

So was this Rape? YES.

Now Let’s assume that you don’t quite buy this and your definition of Consent is a little more limited.

As in you think that since it was Griffith’ idea that should count as consent.

So First of all I’m pretty sure it wasn’t Griffith’s Idea. And this is why-

A. Gennon is introduced to us as a rapist and a self-entitled aristrocrat who pretty much kidnaps kids and keeps them as sex slaves. He obviously doesn’t give a fuck about consent. So think about it . Even if Griffith had refused, in a castle full of Gennon’s men (who actually are a great help in the kidnapping children for sex business) with all the hawks outside the castle walls, would it honestly have made a difference?

B. Gennon comparing them to Pan and Daphnys. The implications of that are pretty…

C. We have a shot of Gennon looking at Griffith waaay before any of these things even started.I do believe that since Griffith was aware of this he managed to avoid the situation until the aftermath of the death of the boy-soldier at which point he didn’t have his guard up and was sort of craving self-harm.

So Alright a lot of this is based in conjecture but you know what?

It’s still fucking Rape.

Because in addition to all the above facts there is the fact that you are talking about a child who is barely fourteen or fifteen years old.

The fact that people can sit and slut shame a child and hold them responsible for a sexual decision made under duress by a vastly more powerful adult while having a fucking emotional breakdown is just sad.

There’s a reason statutory rape is a thing, Okay?

Well this originally started out as a jokey take on how heterosexuality is the True Villain of Berserk, but then I was like, shit this actually works surprisingly well and is kind of depressing. •I think his love language is probably word of affirmation and quality time but William’s not restricted to just those two and will show you how much he loves you in a variety of forms.

•I feel like Liam would be against showing too much physical affection in public. It is the Victorian era after all and people would have a heart attack if a lady showed her ankles. But in general I think he’s a fairly affectionate lover. In public he would hold your hand and keep you close by him, maybe giving you a quick peck on the cheek or forehead but more commonly on the back of your hand as traces of pink blush rise to his cheeks, however he will tell you often how pretty, smart, funny etc. you are no matter who is around.

•in private, liam would be very affectionate to make up for his inability to do so in public without feeling incredibly flustered. Cuddling (god I hate using that word) would be fairly frequent and if you were out or vice versa, he’d give you a kiss on the lips and a hug when he or you returned . He’s a big hugger tbh but I’ll talk more about that later.

•he didn’t receive much affection as a child because it was mostly just him and louis and although he got a few hugs from friends in the orphanage but mostly from his little brother, Liam’s probably quite touch starved so if you do the bare minimum, it’ll have him on the verge of tears. In bed (get ur mind outta the gutter) he doesn’t mind being the big or little spoon but really just likes feeling the warmth of your body against his own cold one and hearing your steady heart beat.

b = beauty (what do they find most attractive and beautiful about their s/o, physically and otherwise?)

• honestly I think William won’t care too much about looks. He’s already seen how pretty privileged individuals get treated better i society and those who are deemed “ugly” get treated worse. That doesn’t mean he doesn’t value your beauty but rather that he thinks that looks fade and your inner beauty is more important.

•I think a romance with Liam would be a “he falls first and harder” + “love at first site”

•like when he first meets you as you feed a stray animal or teach an orphan or stand up to a corrupt noble, he’d see you as an almost angelic being and he would take that on throughout your relationship. He always sees such a brightness on your face whether your smiling or not. It’s like he can see beauty just radiating from your face.

•physically he sees your entire being as pretty but especially your face. It’s something liam has the pleasure of seeing everyday and sees no flaw in. He’s pretty hopelessly in love and I think thats adorable.

• he’s actually really good at comforting you (I know I’m on the bad list but Santa please gimme a William moriarty. He’s too husband material to not be real) If he ever sees you’ve been crying, he’ll hold you in his arms and lets you tell him all your woes and troubles, wiping your tears away with his thumb and kissing your face while telling you how much you mean to him and how perfect you are.

•William tends to not talk about his problems much. He’s scared of being a burden and doesn’t like facing his past of being constantly abused as a child. He bottles up all his emotions until he cracks under the pressure and hides away where nobody can see him. If you’re comforting him, it’s probably best to just let him know that you’re there and give him a long hug while telling him you love him.

d = domestic (do they want to settle down? how are they around the house?)

•he has a lot on his mind but if he ever achieved his goals of eradicating the country of corruption, he would like to settle down in a small house farther away in the country with you but also in close proximity to his brothers who he would want to visit often with his children he would hope to have. After coming back with Sherlock from his ‘death’ he’s ready to live that life with you.

•everyone in the Moriarty manor helps around the house (maybe not Moran but whatever) so he does his fair share of housework too and he’s pretty good at it.

e = equal (what is the relationship dynamic like? Who is “in control”?)

•almost every Victorian relationship would have the husband as more dominant in the relationship and fulfilling all his masculine duties while women would be submissive and probably work as housewives or just socialites.

•however William knows this isn’t healthy and makes an effort to show you that you’re both equal in the relationship.

•instead of you being behind him or not talking to anyone in noble gatherings and parties, he encourages you to speak your mind and show you are equal to him.

f = family & friends (how would their family feel about the relationship and how would they find out?)

•I think bond, Jack, Fred, Albert and Moran can probably tell there’s something going on between the two of you even before you confess to each other. Bond and Moran and constantly teasing the two of you and calling you ‘lovebirds’. Albert also teases William in a big brother kind of way but never as much as Bonde or Moran do. It’s kind of obvious to him that William has a crush on you. Jack starts giving slightly unwanted tips to William on how to capture a woman’s heart too. Fred asks you out of curiosity if you’re in love with William to which you reply in a flustered state.

• “lady (name), is it true you’re in love with Lord William?”

“What-? I mean he’s a really wonderful guy and I wouldn’t say no to courting him but-“

“So you do love him? 🤨”

“Yeah..”

•Louis would be bit clueless the entire time but the thought had popped in his head once after wondering if anyone in the group was going to get married because he wanted to know if he could make a wedding cake 💀

•I don’t think there would be a particular ‘announcement’ really. You two could just say you were getting married one day and nobody would think much of it (I’m gonna just namedrop my mtp fanfic ‘false lovers’ and say it would be funny if the two of you were pretend married except you acted like you were an old married couple so nobody would even be surprised if you mentioned that you two were in love.) Louis would probably be the only person half surprised.

•in terms of their thoughts on your relationship, they’d all be glad that William would have someone he could always rely on. Louis would especially be happy because he trust you to take care of William and be by his side. They all like you a lot and think you’re a good match together.

•I almost forgot about Sherlock. If you were there with William while they met on the noahtic, he would deduce that you both like each other but get cut off by one of you, solidifying his assumptions even more. He refers to you as William’s wife even if you aren’t married just because he’s thinks he’s funny. If William ever confides in Sherlock about you, I think that would show to Sherlock who probably has no interest in love that the two of you truly do love each other.

g = gentle (how gentle are they, both physically and emotionally?)

•he’s incredibly gentle. Liam’s so soft spoken around you and has never ever yelled at you, even in arguments. If he’s upset with you, it’s probably with good reason or he’s stressed and can’t talk to anyone but even then he tells you maturely that he needs to be alone or needs comfort (even if he refuses to ask for help sometimes)

•every lingering touch is soft and calm. His “blood stained” hands are really soft and well taken care of. Sometimes to grasp your attention, he hold your hands in his and talks to you in the sweetest and most harmonious voice ever.

•If you’re on a mission together, he’ll try do most of the work because he doesn’t want you getting hurt but applauds you for every noble you stab and shoot. After each mission he’ll take you to the side and wipe any filthy blood of your pretty face and comfort you, telling you it’s all over and one day you won’t need to do any of this anymore

h = hugs (do they like hugs? how often do they do it? what are their hugs like?)

•he likes hugs but only in private, like I said earlier. There’s something really intimate about just holding someone in your arms and never wanting to let go.

•he hugs you quite often but again, only really in private. He might hug you from behind in the morning while you brush your teeth or after a mission he’d kiss your forehead and hug you in his arms or have you sit on his lap and play with his hair while he’s finishing off marking papers for university. His hugs are soft and comforting whether it’s him spooning you in bed or wrapping his arms around your waist when he gets home from work.

i = i love you (how fast do they say the L-word?)

•to be honest, I think if William really loved someone romantically, he’d have to have known them for a long time. He shows you that he loves you in other ways such as protecting you or getting you gifts or spending time with you.

•he doesn’t think he should wait too long to tell you he loves you because as your lover, it should be expected rather than a surprise but he’s not going to tell you he loves you straight away.

•I think Liam would say he loves you while he climbs into bed with you, thinking ours still asleep and just giving you a kiss on the cheek and whispering ‘I love you’ before he falls asleep except you were awake the entire time and whisper back an ‘I love you’

j = jealousy (how jealous do they get? what do they do when they're jealous?)

•I cant tell if he would get jealous fairly easily or not at all. I guess he’d be jealous but fairly silently.

•If someone’s flirting with you, he’ll get a bit more handsy until they realise they should leave. If they don’t leave after you tel them you already have someone he’ll start dropping a few more hints until he speaks up and tells them to leave. If you ask him later if he was jealous, he’d only reply with a smile and “any man would feel envious if some imbecile was flirting with his beautiful lover” and that’s the end of it. Unless the guy flirting with you ends up dead the following day for various other reasons expect this time he put a bit more effort into the kill.

k = kisses (what are their kisses like? where do they like to kiss their partner? where do they like to be kissed?)

•oh to have the privilege of being kissed by William.

•his kisses are passionate and soft. He’s not really a rough kisser and is more sensual. His lips are soft and well taken care of and he’s very very gentle

•Liam’s favourite places to kiss you would be your forehead, your cheeks, your neck, your hands and your lips. (But he doesn’t discriminate!!) Each place he kisses is for various reasons and imply different things.

•Kissing you on the forehead is for comforting you, cheeks would be if you did him a quick favour like fetching something for him or when he’s leaving for work in a rush and doesn’t have time to give you a longer kiss. , neck is when… 😏 or when he’s hugging you from behind and catching you by surprise, hands is for when he’s flirting with you or showing you off in public and your lips is when he’s feeling more vulnerable.

•he basically had to raise Louis by himself while he was growing up and was frequently around other children in the orphanages he went to so he’s pretty good with kids even though he probably doesn’t think so.

•in the future, I can see him wanting a son or daughter with you if he’s willing to settle down, probably after he ‘died’

•if you can’t have children or would want to adopt, he’d be more than happy to adopt a little boy or girl who would come from an underprivileged background. It’s like he could go back in time and take in a mini him

•I think Liam wakes up quite early so he’ll leave you to sleep but write a cute little ‘good morning’ note on his side of the bed and if you’re clinging on to him while you sleep, he’ll put his pillow in your arms instead. If he has no reason to wake up early and let’s himself have a lie-in , which is quite rare, he’s going to be woken up by a kiss from you on the top of his head as you try to wake him up while he mutters ‘five more minutes’ and grabs you back into his arms.

•he’s not too fond of those really goofy nicknames like ‘snugglebug 🥺’ but he’s probably a more traditional guy. He doesn’t expect you to use any nicknames but if you do, he’d get very silently flustered.

•his nicknames for you would include: darling, my dear, my love, my Angel, honey, doll-face, sweetheart and maybe a shortened version of your first name. Anything that makes you happy and/or can get you blushing.

•I feel like if he sees you as a long time partner, which realistically he would, he would tell you his real name. I think it symbolises a deep connection between Liam and other people (his brothers and best friend all know his real name) so in private, he’d let you call him by that name.

•William is quite closed off and never really reveals anything about himself. Even in the manga and anime, we don’t find out much about William apart from how Albert took him in and that time he went to court but even then, not much detail is given.

•he has trust issues by the way so if he can trust you then the others would see it as a miracle.

•I don’t think it’s a matter of when but say if he was being vulnerable due to trauma and you’re there for him as he cries into your chest, he’ll tell you a few more things from his past.

•each time he gets vulnerable with you, he’ll tell you more pieces of his mysterious past and if you’re smart enough, you’ll be able to put all this together to create a mental timeline

•he’s really grateful he has someone to be somewhat open to even if it’s just a bit

•he seems pretty calm on the surface and it can honestly fool many people including yourself but as seen in the chapter where his student was hiding something from him, William actually has a lot of repressed anger

•I have a headcannon that Liam has really good photographic memory and he remembers almost anything you tell him.

•maybe it’s that time he made a slight miscalculation on a mission and got wounded so you had to temporarily bandage him up with some clean fabric from your clothes
