Drinny for the Secret in Blooms fest.

I saw a medieval Robb Stark fancast that to me looked like Ron, there was a chat on discord in which @drpansyp came up with a medieval romione+panville scenario and of course I started imagining 27368 side stories with other HP characters and collected a bunch of medieval pics in a Pinterest board (including the one I based this on). The prompt I chose for the fest is Gladiolus, I focused on the sword/pierce the heart/infatuation meaning. Basically Draco and Ginny are from rival families, he's some pampered noble and she's of course a badass.. this could be a first meeting, or maybe they'd been aware of each other before... I didn't think I'd be able to finish this on time and I wish I could've polished it more, I figured I should start using a bigger canvas because the size I've been using so far doesn't allow me to add as many details to full body drawings as I'd like (bc I can't zoom in too much) For Draco's hair I used the Princess Bride guy hair as reference (it's been ages since I watched it so I donât remember all the names sorry đŠ). I went back and forth between giving Ginny a long skirt or making the lower part more like male clothing which is what I ended up doing.
Because this is off topic Tuesday⌠I invite you all to check out my Jane Austen fic, The House of Ill Repute. :) Regency era, enemies to lovers, brooding hero and spunky, smart heroine, suspense, angst, mystery/thriller, eventual HEA, eventual spice but not yet. It's up to Chapter 10.
Summary:
In Regency London, the embittered Sidney Parker makes lovely Charlotte Heywood a most indecent offer. He does not expect her to agree to his terms. But the poor and proud Charlotte has nothing left to lose. She accepts and is drawn into a whirlwind of passion, dark secrets, and political intrigue.

Chapter 7 of The House of Ill Repute
Chapter 7 of The House of Ill Repute is UP! :) Read and review at: https://archiveofourown.org/works/75711356/chapters/207328836
âI may be mistaken, but it seems to me that your elder brother is a bit⌠overenthusiastic," said Charlotte tentatively. " His nature is good, I am sure he is a wonderful person, But perhaps he is not the most realistic of men. I believe that he would have attempted to walk to our home on his sprained ankle if Father hadnât insisted on ordering the dog cart. And all of his talk about developing the fishing village, Sanditon, into a resort⌠the expense must be great. Is it all truly practical?âÂ
Sidney scowled, which she could not help noticing took nothing away from the handsomeness of his face. âUpon my word, Miss Heywood, you are very free with your opinions.â
âIÂ beg your pardon,â she stuttered. âI did not mean toââ
In the middle of her sentence, the dance spun them apart for a few minutes. She sneaked a look at his face, which was dark as a thundercloud.
âUpon what experience of the world do you form your judgements?â he asked her when they touched hands again. His voice was cool, but his look was smoldering. Her temper rose to meet his.Â
âThe point isnât my experience, or lack of it,â Charlotte said indignantly. âYou asked me what my opinion was, sir! I did not offer it. If you donât care for what I said, then perhaps you ought not to have asked.âÂ
For an instant, he looked shocked, almost angry. Then he gave a long sigh and smiled crookedly. The smile transformed his face into even greater beauty. He was just too beautiful, Charlotte thought helplessly, almost angrily. Men were not supposed to be beautiful. How dare he look that way!
âYou are correct, Miss Heywood. If I did not wish for an honest opinion, I ought not to have asked you. I have already noticed that you are a most honest lady. I offer my apologies. She gave him a rueful smile in return, unable to resist him. âI suppose that I could have been less frank.âÂ
âDonât be sorry, Miss Heywood. Frankness is an important part of your charm.âÂ
Does that mean that you think Iâm charming? The words sprang to her lips, but would rather have walked over hot coals than speak them.
Chapter 6 of The House of Ill Repute is UP! đ Read and review at: https://archiveofourown.org/works/75711356/chapters/205269581 A cookie from Ch 6: âWait a moment; wait a moment, my good sir!â The master of ceremonies moved between them as swiftly as an arrow. He was a tiny man, a Mr. Taradiddle, several inches shorter than either of them, with an old fashioned periwig perched on his head and a waterfall of lace spilling from his cravat both downwards and up, almost hiding his small, shrewish face. âI do not believe that the two of you have been properly introduced,â he said tartly, âand I also do not think that I am aware of your identity, MrâŚ?â âI am remiss in my introductions. I am Mr. Parker, of the Sanditon Parkers,â said Sidney, still staring at Charlotte. âAh, yes, to be sure. I have heard nothing but good of the Parkers,â said Mr. Taradiddle, nodding his head so vigorously that his periwig seemed in danger of falling off. âI believe that you may even be a cousin to the current Earl of Cheshire, to what degree of cousinship I am not precisely certain, but you are a cousin.â Sidneyâs lips twitched with obvious amusement. âJust so, my good sir.â The master of ceremonies stepped back, looking mollfied, and Sidney turned to Charlotte. He seemed to expect her to speak, she realized. âI⌠I didnât think that you would attend this ball, Mr. Parker,â Charlotte managed to say. âNeither did I,â he said, but he did not continue the explanation. Instead, he bowed slightly and held out his hand to her. The nerve of the man! He simply assumes Iâll take his hand and ask no more questions. Everyone is staring at us. Or are they? I canât tell anymore, all I can see is this arrogant Sidney Parker. It would serve him right if I turned away right now. I'm terribly sorry to disappoint you, Mr. Parker, but I believe that I hear my sister calling me. That's what I'll say. Instead, her hand jolted towards his, moving on its own. He met her halfway. The touch of his fingers spread sweet fire through her skin, the sensation creeping nerve to nerve, almost painful in the most delicious way possible. HIs eyes glowed dark in the candlelight, hypnotizing her gaze, drawing her in. They hadnât even danced together yet, and it was already all too much. She had to regain control of herself somehow. Â
Chapter 5 of The House of Ill Repute is UP!
Read and review at: Chapter 5 of HoIR on AO3.
A cookie from Chap 5: âShh,â said Mary. âYouâll wake Tom, and he needs his rest. I know very well that you have clothing packed in your bags that is quite suitable for a country assembly room dance. The hall is no more than a mile distant, and the road leading there is straight and easy to follow. The moon is nearly at the full. There are never enough young men at these sorts of balls, and the girls will all be overjoyed at the opportunity to dance with someone new.âÂ
âIâm afraid Iâm not particularly interested in overjoying a group of uncouth village hoydens,â he said stiffly.
âYou could see Miss Charlotte Heywood again,â Mary said softly.Â
At last, he did turn to look at her. She smiled up at him. He thought about explaining all of the reasons why he had absolutely no interest in Miss Charlotte Heywood.Â
She was a rustic, a rather boorish young daughter of a country gentleman in a village. Her voice was too loud and her manner much too frank. She was not conventionally pretty, either. Nothing like Eliza, with her blonde hair and wide blue eyes, and cupidâs bow lips, her small, frail form. No, Miss Heywood was not pretty, she wasâŚÂ
Beautiful.
Once he had applied the word to Charlotte Heywood, he could not get it out of his mind again. He had watched her long enough to know that the current fashion did not flatter her, and she looked provincial, but she was like a full blown rose in a crude pottery jar. No matter what she wore, she had a unique beauty.Â
âWill you go?â asked Mary.Â
Sidney did not know, himself, what his answer would be-- until he gave it.
Okay, the day AFTER the last day of the 12 Days of Christmas.... Here's the last D/G Xmas art.

Chapter 4 of The House of Ill Repute is UP! đ
Read and review at: Chapter 4 of House of Ill Repute on AO3
A cookie from Chap 4:
Charlotte sucked in her breath. Was her mother more ill than she herself had believed? And if so, why didnât she tell me? Oh, Iâve got to get back the house. I should turn around right now.Â
At that indrawn gasp, Mr. Heywood turned and peered at her through a gap between two hedges. He smiled. âWhatever are you doing lurking behind that shrubbery, child?â He turned to the Parkers. âThis is my eldest daughter, Miss Heywood.âÂ
âHow delightful! Sidney, do come forward and make yourself sociable,â Tom Parker called over his shoulder to his brother.Â
Charlotte stepped forward, and at the same time, Sidney Parker walked around the coach to stand next to his brother. She saw him fully.Â
For a second, she could only stare.Â
Damp-palmed boys at the assembly balls. Major Francis Lennox droning on about nonsense as he walked the grounds of the manor, fatuous officers stationed with their regiment in Greater Willingden⌠all of them were swept away. This man was unlike any other she had ever seen before. was outside of the men she had known. He was entirely other.Â
Her mind groped briefly for comparison and could only find classical models. The perfection of Greek statues in those books of engravings that she was not supposed to read, that were supposed to be forbidden to girls and women. His face was beautiful as carved marble too, his strong jaw and wide-set dark eyes in perfect proportion to his straight nose, high cheekbones, and full, sensual lips. He was too beautiful for a man, in fact. But he was also intensely, forcefully masculine. He turned to speak to the driver of the carriage, and she saw his slim, muscular form, his strong arms and hands, the lines of flank and thigh and taut stomach, of chest and shoulders, slender yet muscular, the ones that she somehow knew lay beneath his sober clothing. His chestnut hair spilled over his high forehead, deep golden highlights glinting in the sun.Â
She stood and stared. Desire was rising in her, stirring her blood, kindling a flame in her body, but she was, as yet, too inexperienced to understand this. But even without knowing, she dimly sensed that her fate would turn and pivot on this day, this man, and this moment.Â
And Draco takes advantage of the last day before the tree comes down. :)
Draco and Ginny walk through the Malfoy Manor grounds on the next to last day of the 12 Days of Christmas! :)
This is one of my favorites too. Draco and Ginny lying down in front of the fireplace, discussing how the holidays went.... :)
I've always liked this one, even though I'm not sure EXACTLY what's going on between Draco and Ginny here. ;)
