I just wanted to tell you that while I was watching Jannik's and Carlos's names being etched on the champions board and on the Wimbledon trophy, all I could think about was that part in The Art of the Fall where Jannik says that he wants all trophies covered in only their names, together forever in history. I love that part so much.

Oh, thank you so much, I thought about that too! I can't wait for them to share a court again, and maybe in two years they'll have that on the Coupe des Mousquetaires as well 🤞

wimbledon ends on sunday. i believe we are about four days away from the end of the tournaments carlos has officially withdrawn from. and we have no news, right?

so, if i do the math correctly...

Jannik seeing the video. Jannik immediately flying to spain to go see Carlos holding that racket in real life. Carlos asking, begging Jannik to play, because he needs this. this is what all these weeks of rest and rehab and tests and chemicals in his body have been for. Jannik, who can never say no to those eyes, terrified of hurting him, serving him the softest balls he's ever hit, and still, what if it's too much? Oh, but that laugh, how he has missed that laugh.

So, I have decided that I will be making some edits to the Sincaraz Cinematic Universe. Thank you for the input! They're mostly additions, and if you decide to re-read, I hope you find them fun. I have downloaded the original version, in case anyone (but I guess mostly me) wants it, so feel free to ask!

The Art of Winning is already edited. Let me know if you decide to go over it again, I'd be interested to hear/read what you think!

I got my first hate comment today, telling me, among other things, to kms and how to do it. i know this is kind of what we expose ourselves to when posting stuff online, but yeah, it's a weird feeling.

hi! feel sorry to ignore this if you don't want to answer, of course, but do you think that you'll finish The Sincaraz Cinematic Universe one day? in my opinion The Art of the Fall could end where you left it but since there seemed to be one more chapter left... is that something you contemplate eventually going back and writing or is it abandoned? I just love that fic so much, I've reread it sooo many times.

first of all, Freudian slip of all times! thank you so much for the laughs, it was much needed!

to answer your question, i have about half of what i wanted for the last chapter written. essentially, i need to write the smut, which is always a little tricky for me (i hope you can't tell too too much).

my problem, and the reason why i haven't finished, is that i think some small things would need to be tweaked in the other parts to make the last installment coherent. i assume this happens when you just write without knowing what real-world events are going to guide the following chapters. i also learned a lot writing the SCU and there are things that i would really like to improve on now that i know a bit better.

it's nothing major, mostly some internal dialogue and maybe a couple lines of spoken dialogue. i still hesitate to do it, because people have already read and (i hope) enjoyed the story as is. at the same time, for the last part to be satisfying, i would need to do it. so that's where i'm at. opinions/input welcome!

i am so glad to hear you enjoyed the story so far though, that series is so special to me, and i'm so happy to have been able to share it.

alright, here we go, i am avoiding it no longer, i shall write today.

i finished hannibal. i have the inexplicable urge to start over immediately. is this normal? send help. or company.

i'm watching hannibal for the first time as I procrastinate writing the next chapter, and all i can say is, i didn't know we could make shows about two people perpetually stuck in the last breath before a kiss. the tension is immaculate, give me 15 seasons and 3 movies.

i will say, as sad as I am for Jannik... i absolutely saw this coming, and the only reason some of us didn't is that, as much as we defend him against the "robot" allegations, even his fans see him that way deep down.

in my opinion, there is nothing surprising about this result. i wish that people would stop pretending there is, especially for his sake. he had an amazing run in the masters, and that takes a toll. he is human, and it was to be expected that he would hit his limit. especially in a slam, especially on clay, especially in the heat.

this is not a major, unexplainable failure. it's a predictable result, and that's also ok. he's a grown man and a professional athlete. he made his choices, he played all five masters, he got the results he wanted there, and he needs rest now.

also, cerundolo played the match he needed to play. he dealt with the heat better for a variety of reasons, and he doesn't deserve what people are saying about his accomplishment... physical fitness is part of this sport, and today, on an even playing field, he was better. jannik will learn from this, i'm sure, and so will cerundolo.

i cannot guarantee that they will not suffer a terrible fate. but, you know, could be fun before that happens!

hg au update: there's nothing more rewarding than writing slow burn imo, getting to linger on small moments and character traits that explain the romance is so much fun, and it feels like writing /the/ scene is truly earned.

that being said, there's also nothing more painful than writing slow burn. i want them to kiss now.
