For Jonathan, probably getting to live his own life, make his own choices. In this verse, that holds true- he’s been a pawn due to a contract his father made before he was born. In the Story verse (idk how much I’ve talked about my story verse on this blog. Or any of my blogs for that matter) he’s still a pawn- fate was changed very early on, he had to be directed rather than making his own choices, in order for things to go right again.
Alice gets kind of complicated. Her ‘big dream’ is probably something along the lines of living in peace for once in her life, or maybe being able to see her friends again- alive, happy, the whole 9 yards. She’d probably settle for just seeing them again.
What does your dream life look like?
Jonathan’s dream life is travel- in both verses, he wants to get out and see things for no other reason than getting out and going. In the story verse, this includes probably traveling with his best bud Tope the Alien (I swear this is a serious story).
Alice wants a quiet little home- an apartment, or a small house in the middle of nowhere, where she can live pretty anonymously, do her own thing, learn how to cook, learn how to live on earth. In reality, she might go a little crazy, living quietly, but it’s a dream life for her.
What’s something you wish you could tell, but can’t?
Jonathan doesn’t really have secrets, in the main verse here. It’s not that he’s an open book, it’s just that there isn’t much to his life. He works for a crazy alien lady, who mostly has him working on various little gadgets that do nothing of great importance. In his story verse, he cant’ really tell anyone how terrified he is? How he probably really doesn’t want to be the instigator to a huge war, he doesn’t want to be the leader of a small group, or the leader of anything- he’s scared, but he feels like he can’t let anyone know because then he wouldn’t be such a good leader, people wouldn’t take him seriously (it’s hard to be taken seriously when you’re 17/18 and only human, and not a supernaturally talented one at that).
Alice doesn’t have a deep secret she keeps tied up and can’t tell because of dire consequences. Mostly, she’d like to sit down and talk to someone, like, “You know some of the crazy shit I’ve seen? Lemme tell you about this crazy shit.” and have someone believe her.
If you could undo one thing in your life, what would it be?
Like I said in the last bit, Jonathan hasn’t really done a lot. He hasn’t had a chance to make some big mistake that was his own fault because he’s pretty much always acting on someone else's orders it’d be great if he made a relationship with someone at some point and actually started going out and doing things of his own volition but in his story verse, man, that’s a different matter. There’s the big one, where he makes a bit of a blunder and starts a massive war because he broke a treaty that’s been in place for a few decades and was very tenuous (whoops), and that’s kind of complicated. On one hand, he ended up doing a lot of good by the end of it (not him personally, but in general, a lot of good things happened), but on the other hand it brought a lot of strife and pain to him and his (eventual) friends and a lot of people- it was a war, after all.
(Alice is having war flashbacks) WELL LETS SEE. There’s a friend Alice lost contact with, big time. Pretty much all her friends, actually, from a time period in her life (there’s an out of canon reason for this actually- Alice used to be part of this huge thread that me and a couple other people wrote, but we kind of disbanded and fell apart, and thus, Alice has that past that she can’t ever reconnect with), and she regrets never going back to them after she ‘died’, and yeah, specifically a certain character, who I just haven’t gone back and written since forever.
If you could bring back one thing, what would it be?
His childhood innocence In his story verse, I feel like Jonathan might want to bring back earth? It’s kind of a big deal, the state that it’s in, it’s a bit of a problem for the human race (depending on how the story pans out, if I kill off one of his teammates then he would bring them back. No question, but I’m not sure if I’m doing that yet). In the mainverse though, he’d want to bring back his parents. He’d like to see them again, be with them, it’s something he’s missed out on.
I’m not sure what Alice has lost that she would want to bring back. I’ll have to think more about that, honestly.
