It's almost 3 am and it's officially been a week since I last saw my kitty. Meredith my baby has been missing and I miss her so much. I just have this feeling that she's gone and I'm terrified that I'm right. Goodnight lovies

Two other women, also breast cancer survivors, said their husbands left them after they were diagnosed. Both had to have mastectomies (in case anyone doesn’t know, this is the surgical operation to remove one or both breasts). The first woman said her husband told her that he would rather see her dead than see her lose her breasts. The second woman had her operation and waited all day to be picked up by her husband, who never arrived. By nightfall, one of the nurses offered to give her a ride, and she came home to find the house empty. Obviously, these are extreme cases of a man’s reaction to his wife’s breast cancer, but this is what I see when I see the “I ♥ Boobies” bracelets. I see love of the body parts, not the person being treated—not the patient, not the victim, not the survivor.

This was actually not the shot I was planning for. This was right after I got the picture I wanted, and I started wobbling and could barely hold myself up. I started laughing at myself and ended up with this picture which I liked more. The moments we don’t plan for often end up being the best.

Cailey and I are sad that we weren’t able to go to famjam this year and see all our friends. Ok that I couldn’t go, b/c she’s a dog and could care less if she goes. Ok I’m the only sad one. But whatever, Cailey and I had a yoga party last night to cheer me up b/c I really wanted to go. It sucks when life gets in the way of yoga play time!! (at not famjam :()
