Me: I think it's more Attention Fishing. I'm not particularly expecting a bite here or there, but when I get one, it feels satisfying. Like, "yeah, I appealed to person x's sense of humor today," or "I got someone to know 'dat feel' for a brief moment."

Me: It's a silly, borderline superficial way to identify with people, but for some reason, I attach a lot of worth to knowing people identified with me on this or that insignificant part of my life. Maybe I just spend too much time thinking. Maybe I'm up way too late at night with nobody to talk to.

It's beginning to occur to me that I might be getting the same type of gratification from Facebook that I get from games. Do I treat Facebook like a game?

Measuring Success

I'd like to think that every time I make an impossibly bad play on words or pun, I should be counting the people that shake their heads or want to smack me instead of counting the people that laugh or like it when measuring my success.

Animal Crossing Life

Sometimes, days in real life feel like days in Animal Crossing, right down to that feeling of "I've done pretty much everything I can do at this point of day, what do I do now? Turn off the game? No...there's gotta be something better" and sitting there trying to figure out what comes next while you just drain your battery. Spinning my wheels here, folks...although I know what I WANT to do.

Pokemon X Problems

I'm finding it harder and harder to finish Pokemon X. It could just be a bad time for me, since I basically just finished Shin Megami Tensei 4 and that was basically all of the fun of Pokemon but way more frustrating (and thus, enjoyable). The game feels like such a breeze that I'm just not motivated to get through it. And then there's the competitive battling scene. It feels like I'm just right in the middle of the crowd, some kind of weird gray area where I don't want to take the time to carefully craft my perfect team of Genetically Superior Master Race Pokemon(tm), but I also don't feel right playing against people who don't think heavily about the mythical "metagame". I need to hurry up and just finish the main story so I can start on Project Mash X(and all the other face buttons) Zone. /rant

For every song I can sing well, there's 4 that I can't. I don't mean to be discouraged by that, but on days like this it tends to get the better of me. What am I doing wrong? Or worse, is it something I just can't do? As a side note, or even an addendum to that, I think I need to see a doctor. I've definitely taken a dive in vocal quality. Maybe something is seriously wrong.

Although I started in Gridania as a Lancer, although I'm currently a member of Limsa Lominsa's Maelstrom, I am and likely forever will be an Ul'dahn at heart. The city gripped me from the second I got there. I think I know where I'll be getting my home...
