Cloud had never expected to accidentally find general Sephiroth asleep while he was on laundry duty, having fully thought that the man wasn't in his living quarters at the time. Finding no caregiver to take care of the regressed Sephiroth, Cloud finds that he has little choice but to stay with him until he gets big, giving Sephiroth a taste of how life would be with someone who cares near. After that evening, he finds himself craving more of that, and offering Cloud a deal, he finds himself with a caregiver, showing him a world of kindness and gentleness he had never experienced before.
