Vintage Enamel & Metal Badges

A diverse collection of early to mid 20th Century enamel badges. The majority of these badges were made in the UK but other notable examples are from the USA, Italy, France and Australia. In many ways, this ongoing collection contextualises our early 20th Century social history and highlights our often forgotten past. The richness of designs within this collection should hopefully serve as inspiration for artists, designers and students.

I am flipping my lid indeed over this. Imagine the possibilities! This bridges painting and pixelart in the same way that the printing press must have made writing redistributable and usable by a large non-elite population.

I just had a major flashback to my childhood. Quit often when I was the last one left at school (due to the fact that my parents were always working late). The teachers would let me use one of the few computers the school had. And I remember finding this program called Fine Artist & Creative Writer, which utterly blew my mind. Guess I never really cared for the Creative writer. But Fine Artist was my holy grail and, at the time, Photoshop. Guess this and Paint was really where it all started.
