I wasn’t going to reblog it but kinda felt pushed to do it.
I’ve been wondering for such a long time, and I’ve been more than amazed all this time of how easily one can use words they don’t know the meaning of. People, just stay the fuck in your place and look for what you care for, stop dying for what you don’t like. I have no idea about Patrick Chan’s rudeness so I’m not going to express myself on the subject, but I do know about Evgeni’s arrogance. Or lack thereof. Whoever said that, and saying anonymously on the internet, is what all people can do, right? I have no intention of hiding what I think, no intention of even shaping my words, I’m gonna say it as it is– Evgeni is far, far from being arrogant. Those who don’t know him, better keep biased opinions to yourself, it’s like– it doesn’t matter, right, internet is a free space where everyone can say whatever they want, but the internet is also a space where idiot words spread like wild fire, in time causing innocent people a bad image.
You don’t like him– DON’T LOOK AT HIM, DON’T FOLLOW HIM. As simple as that.
But back to his arrogance– Evgeni is far from arrogant, he is –confident–. You know what arrogance means? Arrogance means to be full of yourself despite having no reason to be so. Arrogance means lack of common sense. Arrogance denotes sometimes a poor intelligence, to be proud and full of yourself for little or no reason. Whilst– Evgeni is one of the most pleasant, educated, –beautiful– people one could ever think of . And hear it from someone who met him twice already, like I did.
His confidence annoys you? That’s your problem, not his. He is–10 times National Champion, 7 times European Champion, 3 times World Champion, 2 times Olympic Champion and 2 times Olympic Silver Medalist– and suddenly! he’s arrogant for being better than all the rest of the figure skaters. Pardon me– just go, care about the people you like, care about the skaters you like, whoever they are, and leave him the fuck alone, I’m tired of people trashing him, kinda feel like a lioness every time someone senselessly attacks him. Just –let him be–.
