Forget about the wine stains, baby | Annabelle + Jacob
JACOB BENNETT.
The entire gala was one of pure confusion and drama. It seemed as if nothing was going right for him. At first the spill on his shirt was another negative aspect of the night. However, as the blonde continued to inch closer until there was no space at all, the new stain ended up being a good thing. Jake didn’t know where this was going to lead, but he did have an idea. The real question though was if he would follow through with it? Usually he wasn’t the kind to hook up with someone in a bathroom at a public event. Except, his body was being pulled to her like a magnet and a wave of lust would continuously hit him like a ton of bricks. He needed this one moment with her and he needed it now.
When she leaned into his hand, he knew she was on the same page as him. There was no going back now. Then, without any notice, she spoke his name in a volume that was barely audible. Before he had a chance to respond the feeling of her lips consumed his senses. Her lips tasted like a sweet red wine and were bubbling like champagne. The short feeling was intoxicating and already, Jake wanted more. He leaned his head in closer, pressing his lips harder against hers in a passionate kiss. A step forward was taken to intensify the kiss as he pushed her back against the counter. Their lips moved in a perfect rhythm while his fingers on her cheek moved swiftly to tangle in her hair.
Annabelle lips stretched onto a lazy as he responded to the kiss. She had had countless one night stands and had always been quite smart about her decision and the blonde knew this wasn’t going to count as a mistake. Yes, maybe it wasn’t the smartest thing to do but the pressure of being successful in both her work and her personal life were getting too much. She needed to unwind, forget about her responsibilities for a second and just live. Annabelle had been clubbing or partying with her friends quite a lot but she knew this was different. Their act was reckless, daring and also passionate. Something they could either laugh about or never mention again, none of it would matter after they would both go back to their normal lives. For one night, one moment only she’d let go of everything.

THE PERFECT SONG | ANNABELLE & JULIET
@julietfairmont
A kiss. They had kissed and Annabelle couldn’t have been happier about the outcome of the situation, even after the little encounter they had had after. Her and Juliet had been the cutest fake couple of the night and Annabelle was determined on only keeping these positive thoughts as memories of the gala and not anything that happened after that. Truth was, the brunette was always there to save the blonde and the businesswoman felt like she hadn’t thanked her friend enough so, she decided to surprise her instead. She had planned a whole day full of fun and probably illegal stuff for them to do but that would require Juliet to be awake. Which, at 9:30 in the morning was practically impossible. On her way to her place, Annabelle had picked up some fresh croissants from the finest bakery of the neighborhood and the largest cup of coffee they had. Having a spare key of the place had come in handy more than once and here again, she would be able to surprise the other without having to ruin everything by knocking on the door, thanks to the spare key she had given her. Silently making her way to Juliet’s bedroom, she was praying that the other hadn’t been with a man the night before as it would have been more than inconvenient to walk in on a butt-naked stranger who Juliet would probably kick out the second her eyes would open. As she caught sigh of the lone brunette in deep slumber, Annabelle thanked her lucky stars before an evil smirk appeared on her lips. She discretely connected her phone to the expensive sound system Juliet had installed and picked up the perfect song, pressing play. Annabelle started singing along as loud as she could, dancing all around the room, hoping Juliet would either join or lose it, both reactions would be welcomed by the wide smile the blonde had plastered on her face.
Forget about the wine stains, baby | Annabelle + Jacob
jakebennett:
Jake knew this girl. The alcohol was making his memory fuzzy, but he knew her from somewhere. The smell of her perfume had this intoxicating wave that made him want to lean into her. The way her lips moved as she spoke made him never want to look away. Especially when her perfect teeth would peak through and turn into a memorizing smile. And don’t get him started on her eyes. After continuous questions it was her eyes that made him remember where the two had met. It was a brief encounter when she asked him to pretend to be her boyfriend for the press. He remembered her. Annabelle.
When she took a step forward, Jake could feel the heat radiating off of her body and onto his. In the back of his mind, he wondered if this was a good idea. Except, his racing heart told him otherwise. “I think you’re losing your mind.” Jake returned the whisper and tilted his head slightly to allow his lips to lean in towards hers. The stain was not coming out, yet, she was still touching him. In his head, she didn’t want to stop this as much as he didn’t. “You never know how to introduce me to people you just meet.” One sentence was all he needed to say, because he decided to let his touch do the rest of the talking for him. Jake grazed one hand over her stomach and against her side, before finally stopping on her lower back. His other hand moved up to her cheek where he slowly ran his thumb over her smooth skin. With narrowed eyes, Jake sent her a look of pure lust and seduction which was only amplified by the way his tongue grazed over his lower lip. “Remember me Annabelle.” He spoke in a voice that could only be heard by the two of them.
She could have stared into those intense green eyes for the rest of the day, Annabelle was practically getting lost in them. They were so familiar yet she couldn’t quite place it. One thing was for sure though, she wasn’t ready to let go of his shirt at all, let alone walk away from where she was. Not only did the blonde need answers, she was also craving his touch, something purely physical was pulling her into him and she didn’t want it to stop, ever. ‘’Am I really?’’ she replied with the smallest of smirk, closing the gap between their two bodies. Only their faces were apart now and something told her that wouldn’t last either.
His hands were slowly grazing over her back before coming up to her cheek, her body immediately responding to his touch. She leaned onto his hand, a small smile dancing on her lips as her body shivered at the mere thought of what was about to happen. Her name. He knew her name and as she heard him speak those words, her eyes flew open and she then remembered. Months ago, she had asked a total stranger to pose as her boyfriend to avoid the pressing questions of the reporters and he had played the part really well. She couldn’t quite remember all the details of the last time she had seen him but his name surely hadn’t left her memory. ‘’Jacob..’’ she half-whispered, before leaning in for the kiss she had been waiting for. ‘Fuck it’ she thought, as her lips only grazed his, silently asking for the permission that would allow her to take it further. Her arms let go of the blouse she ha been trying to clean and looped around his neck, waiting for him to react to it all.
LORENZO DIONACCI.
As the other man walked away, after what seemed an eternity, Lorenzo let his iron grip fall from the woman’s waist. The Italian let out a sigh of relief, he knew how to lie and manipulate people far too easily, but he never pretended to date anyone. It was new and he didn’t like things he didn’t know. The male cleared his throat as the blonde started to speak again. His eyes ran across her face, it was awfully familiar. Memories hit him hard, he didn’t remember much, but what he did know is those same curious blue eyes watching him poison his late father’s drink. He swallowed hard, trying to appear as relax as he could be. ‘’ No Hollywood.’’ Lorenzo shook his head firmly. It was unnecessary small talk. As her tone shifted, his muscles tensed up. ‘’Uomini perversi sono ovunque.’’ Enzo told her with a shrug, as if it was an easier task to pretend than it really was. The man almost choked when she pronounced those words. He quickly regained his composure, he couldn’t possibly talk openly about Cuba. He just went along with what he told everyone. ‘’ I was Italy’s ex-vice president’s son.’’
His hard expression did not go unnoticed by the blonde, who preferred to only assume it the way he acted with everyone. Annabelle was too focused on his features, trying hard to recall in whatever circumstances they had met. He had completely shut off her poor attempt at small talk, clearly not one to embarrass with unnecessary formalities. As rusty as her Italian was, she had easily understood what the man had said and couldn’t help but reply. ‘’Grazie a Dio non sei uno di loro, giusto?’’ the blonde replied, as a smile was about to appear on her lips but his next words had left her speechless. It was him. All the memories came rushing back, hitting her so hard it was a miracle she was still standing on her feet.
For years, Annabelle had thought the whole story was only the fruit of her vivid imagination, she couldn’t have possibly seen what she had seen but there he was, the living proof of what she had witnessed, his words the exact confirmation she needed all those years. Ex-vice president. Ex because he had killed him, she’d seen it with her own two eyes and guilt had been eating her ever since, pressing her to confess to someone, anyone. But how could she, after all those years simply tell someone she had witnessed the sneakiest of murders and worst of it all, she had kept it for herself, convincing herself that she had imagined it all.
The room was too hot and it was spinning and Annabelle needed to get out before she’d collapse into the arms of a killer, causing a scene on top of it all. ‘’You’re, I’m- excuse me’’ she said before quickly turning back and running to the back of the room, opening the door that lead onto the empty backstreet. Once the door behind her closed, Annabelle put her hand on her mouth, still freaking out about the whole situation. He had killed his own father, she had seen it with her own two eyes and now he was back and she was practically sure that he knew about her too. He was there to kill her too, no doubt about it and now Annabelle had no idea what to do.
DYLAN FROST.
Feeling an arm snake around his, Dylan whirled around, armed with a scowl and an insult to hurl at the owner but before he could, he was met with a whisper from a woman he didn’t know. Before he had time to respond, the blonde had announced their relationship to a slimy looking man, throwing him a hopeful look when she was done. “Uh… yeeeeah,” Dylan said slowly, looking at the blonde for some kind of clue. Her pleading eyes seemed to bore into his as she maintained her wide smile, and it was then that her plan clicked in his head. Clearing his throat, he stood up taller and repeated himself, more assertively this time. “Yeah, couldn’t be happier. So why don’t you put your dick back in your pants and move along buddy?” Waving him away with a sarcastic smile on his face, Dylan waited until the man was out of sight before unlinking his arm from the mysterious blonde’s. “I think you owe me a drink.”
The man didn’t wait for her new partner to add anything, his face turning into a jealous and disgusted scowl, he turned around wordlessly and walked away from the fake couple. Annabelle was about to reply but instead of words, only a small laughter left her lips. The way he had told off the other was more than funny and she was glad someone had done it for her. ‘’I owe you way more than that You saved my night’ she replied with a smile, walking by his side to the bar counter. Ordering two whiskeys, she chugged hers in a second before closing her eyes, a tired sigh leaving her lips once again. ‘’I’m sorry about that. To be fair, he seemed pretty convinced.’’ she told him with a small chuckle.
LUCA SERA.
Luca had just started his third glass of champagne, and was beginning to enjoy the sight of coupled figures moving across the ballroom floor. The rhythmic synchronicity was calming, as was the warm, golden light from the chandeliers overhead. He was on his way toward the balcony, if only to get a look at the room from the outside in (always a lover of stark contrast - a metaphor for a fire burning in a stone hearth), when he felt an arm slink into his own and a whisper against his throat. A pause, more like a ripple on the surface of sill pond, then a very gentlemanly smile. “Two years and three months actually.” He gave a conspiratorial look to his ‘partner.’ “She never remembers our anniversary.”
"I'm not good with dates, thank god my lucky stars gave me the perfect half" she agreed with an affectionate smile, looking up at her new fill-in boyfriend. Annabelle's smile widened as she realized their plan was actually working, the strange lawyer excusing himself for an emergency phone call he had to take before taking off, faster than lighting. A long sigh of relief escaped her lips as the man lost himself in the crowd, allowing her to finally breathe properly again. "Jesus, it's like they can never take a hint. You play the hero part very well, I'm impressed" Annabelle told the man with a small chuckle as she turned around to face him.
ADE BAILEY.
Ade had been stood minding him own business when he’d suddenly felt someone grab a hold of his arm. As he glanced towards them, instant recognition crossed his features and he gave a very small, unnoticeable nod in her direction, immediately moving in closer to her. The man who Annabelle had been talking to suddenly seemed a little taken aback, but at least that meant her planned seemed to be worked right off the bat. “I don’t know, it’s too long if you ask me,” he commented, his expression playful, but as he spoke he reached up to move a piece of hair from off her face, mouth turning up into a smile. “But no, couldn’t be happier.”
Annabelle didn't have to fake a laugh at the man's words, the whole situation more than comical to her. She was glad the man was going along with her act and mentally thanked her lucky stars for the stranger's cooperation. She looked up to meet his gaze full of affection and even let out a light giggle at his gesture, getting even closer to his body. "He's the light of my life. Which is why, if you'll excuse me, I will take him away for a few minutes" she replied, her tone full of malice, hoping the lawyer would buy their act. Grabbing the stranger’s hand, she dragged him across the room until they reached the other end of the vast ballroom, she stopped right at the drinks table, fully aware of the deadly glares the lawyer was throwing them. ‘’I’m so sorry for that, I really needed to get out’’ she apologized, offering the man a drink as she also grabbed one for herself.
DANIEL GAUTHIER
Social gatherings wasn’t really something Daniel shied away from, considering he was most of the time all bundled up in them at the bar. Although the Queen Elizabeth Hotel was far out of any league that the Tattooed Moose could ever be in. That didn’t make him uncomfortable though, instead he took it with stride. Offering small talk with the buzzing people around him. Just as he was about to fetch a glass of champagne for himself he felt a hand curl around his arm pulling him in their direction. Turning his head, his eyes caught her face before his mind started churning of what she was doing. He leaned in briefly as she pleaded with him in a whisper, a smile tugging on his lips at her request. She’d surprised him, but pleasantly so, enjoying the forwardness and different side he got to see in her. He traced his arm from the hook to wrap it around her waist, pulling her close beside him. “Has it really been two years, already? I must’ve lost count. Any time spent with this one is too short of a time. I’m a lucky man.” He mused towards the man as he gave Annabelle a side glance selling the charade with the mere look of his eyes. “Nice to see you again, Mr Johnson. It’s been a while since I saw you at the bar, although I’ve heard business is going good. Congratulations on the firm.” He spoke politely and professionally, a side of Daniel that was rarely shown but often used, as he offered the man he recognized from before a handshake. “Now, you’ll have to excuse me and my absolutely stunning partner, I promised her a dance and what kind of man would I be if I didn’t stay true to my word?”
Annabelle was left speechless by the man’s charisma and how easy it was for him to pretend they were a couple. Not only would his words make any woman swoon, but he also happened to know the disgusting man in front of them and make him seem like a total gentleman. A wide smile formed on her lips as she finally recognized the stranger from the bar, a man she had been dying to meet for as long as she’d been going to the Tattooed Moose but never had she had the guts to go to the counter and engage a conversation. Faith had put him on her path again and she was more than glad to spend some time with him, knowing only fun the night ahead would reserve. Trying hard not to focus on the warm hand he had placed on her waist, she giggle lightly at her ‘partner’s’ words. ‘’That’s right honey, you did promise me a dance’’ she agreed, politely nodding at the lawyer in front before taking the stranger’s hand and dragging him away to the dance floor. ‘’I hope you know your moves, he’s still watching us’’ she whispered in his ear, although her warm smile never leaving her lips. Placing one of her hands on his shoulder, she grabbed his free hand in hers and slowly began rocking to the slow beat of the soft slow that had started playing, as if they were meant to be right there, right then.
Forget about the wine stains, baby | Annabelle + Jacob
JACOB BENNETT
After a brief bump in with someone at the bar, Jacob found himself spending a lot of the night in the bathroom trying to remove a stain. Of course the woman that bumped into him happened to order a glass of wine. It seemed as if he would be stuck trying to remove the stain for the rest of the evening. Then, there was a strange figure that appeared out of the corner of his eye. Jake took a moment to look around the bathroom to see no one else in there. Now his mind was playing tricks on him. Maybe he had to much to drink?
Soon enough, the figure returned and Jake stole a glance of the blonde beside him. For a moment, he was internally freaking out as he thought he was in the wrong bathroom. That feeling quickly left at the realization that she was in the wrong here. Jake decided not to say anything to embarrass the girl, but he was curious. Especially since she looked so familiar, but he couldn’t quite put the pieces together.
Suddenly, she began to speak and Jake lifted his head to look at her through the mirror. A low huff fell from his lips as he figured that she was right. Except, he couldn’t to wipe at the stain with the wet paper cloth, hoping that it would work. Out of nowhere, she closed the distance between them and started to rub something on the stain. Jake narrowed his eyes as his gaze stared directly into her own eyes. He had definitely seen those eyes before. “Why do you say that?” Jake asked with his lower lip caught between his teeth.
His eyes, Annabelle could’ve sworn she had seen them before but where exactly. As handsome as he was, he didn’t seem like a businessman at all so the chances of him being one of her partners or colleagues were slim to none. Same thing went for anyone in her entourage, he seemed more relaxed than all these stuck-up richies, calling themselves ‘good friends’. The confusion on his face made it hard for the blonde to stay serious as she let out another soft giggle, her eyes dropping to the stain she was still trying to take off.
The fact that he hadn’t said anything about her presence in the men’s restroom was a little surprising but Annabelle wasn’t about to complain, not ready to get embarrassed over such matter. As he spoke, the blonde’s gaze shifted upwards as she was about to answer. Wrong move. It was not his eyes that she met but the exquisite sight of his pearl white teeth biting his reddish-full lower lip. Maybe he was doing it on purpose or maybe he had no idea but either way, Annabelle had a hard time taking her eyes away from his mouth. ‘’I don’t know, I feel like I know you.’’ she replied in a half whisper, her blue eyes locking with his. Taking a step forward, she managed to make the gap between them even smaller, her hands on his shirt the only thing keeping her body away from his. ‘’Maybe I’m losing my mind, but I doubt it. I’m almost never wrong’’ she told him, a small smirk making its way up her lips. She was silently daring him to make a move, to say something or even hint it. Whatever was happening between them, because something was, Annabelle sure wasn’t going to stop it and she was hoping he wouldn’t either.
CASSIDY ROGERS
Cassidy had been busy reading the event program, having arrived late like usual and needed to get caught up on what was going on. As she was reading through, she heard Annabelle’s voice behind her before feeling an arm loop into hers. Cassidy tensed up about to smack the person who grabbed her before hearing the blonde’s voice in her ear softly. She wrapped an arm around Anna’s waist and turned around with her. Glaring daggers at the man in front of her, she tightened her hold slightly. “I would really appreciate it if you quit hitting on my girlfriend. I swear you guys can never take a hint,” she says shaking her head.
Annabelle’s shoulders dropped slightly in relief as the other’s hand wrapped around her waist. She would finally leave this date from hell and in the funniest way possible, all thanks to the brunette beside her. A satisfied smile made its way up the blonde’s lips as the her newfound girlfriend made it clear he wasn’t wanted. A dumbfound look on his face, the man slowly backed away from the couple before turning around and making his way to another lone victim in a red gown. ‘’Thank God, I was this close to punching him’’ Annabelle told her with a sigh, her smile however still plastered on her face. ‘’What a nice girlfriend you make, I almost believed you for a second’’ she giggled lightly before looking over the woman’s shoulder, only to spot the man chugging two champagne glasses in a row. ‘’I think we broke his heart, how sad’’ she let out sarcastically.
SHAWN HOVECH
Oh how Shawn loved these sort of events. It was a great time to network, meet people and … apparently be involved a deep and loving relationship that he had not been aware he was a part of. He glanced past the blonde and to the man who looked both skeptical and ready to pounce. He chuckled and stepped closer to Annabelle. “Two years last week, in fact.” He said with a smug and protective smile, as if to let the man know that he’d won. “I’m sorry I stepped away, I got you your drink though.” He said handing her his untouched glass. He turned to her persistent shadow and smiled once more. “I’m going to steal her away if you don’t mind.” Shawn said turning her away from the man without so much as a glance back over his shoulder.
An imperceptible sigh of relief left the blonde’s lips as the stranger went along with her act. How embarrassing would it have been if he would’ve simply jerked away and told her how crazy she actually sounded, but thanks to her lucky starts, the man was playing the part and he was pretty damned good too. ‘’You’re such a darling. Isn’t he a darling?’’ she asked the lawyer, getting hold of the glass before taking a sip of the the champagne. Annabelle was glad she hadn’t even gotten the time to say goodbye to the perverted lawyer as she quickly turned around, walking away with her newfound fake lover. ‘’You seem like you do that often’’ she whispered quietly, a sly smirk playing on her lips, their proximity remaining intact in hopes of convincing the stranger who was still throwing her partner jealous glares.
CALEB ADAMS.
Cal was looking for Edmee in the crowd, but one of the downsides to having a petite wife was the fact that she was rather hard to find in a group exceeding five people. He nearly jumped out of his skin when a different woman, a stranger, put her arm around him and whispered in his ear. “Right,” he said, putting his arm delicately around her waist. Jeez, he really wasn’t a good actor. “I don’t know how I got so lucky.”
Annabelle knew Caleb very well, he was the husband of one of her dearest friends and she was glad he was going along with her act. The blonde almost let out a chuckle at his hesitant words, the light touch of his hand on her waist only reminding her of how bad of an actor he really was, but the stranger before them didn’t seem to seem to notice as he politely apologized before quickly walking away. ‘’How you got so lucky? I’ll tell Edmee you were thinking of her when you saved my ass, she’ll be delighted’’ Anabelle lightly chuckled before gently detaching herself from the man. ‘’How’s your night, you guys having any fun?’’ the blonde asked, looking around trying to spot the other half of the sweet couple.
LACEY YU.
Lacey glanced down at her dress upon hearing the blonde’s comment. “Thanks,” she responded. “I uh don’t remember. I got it last year for something else, but I ended up not going. I’ve been dying for a chance to wear it again since I can’t stand to see it just sit in my closet.”
‘’It’s perfect for the gala’’ she approved with a wide smile ‘’It would be a shame for such a beautiful gown to just sit in a closet, trust me I wouldn’t have accepted it’’ she chuckled before taking a sip from her champagne glass. ‘’How’s your night?’’Annabelle asked the other woman.
