Headcannon #1

After The Seven defeated Gaea, Percy lost his memory again. Annabeth desperately tried to help him but Percy retreated from her. One day while Percy was sitting alone at the lake, Annabeth cautiously walked up behind him. When Percy turned around his hair was all frazzled. His shirt was inside out. And he looked scared. Annabeth took a step closer and Percy lunged at her. Annabeth let him and the fell to the ground. Percys hands found her neck as he pushed her into the ground, his hands crushing her throat. Annabeth wrapped her hands around his wrists but to no avail as she lost her breath she slipped into death. For a few minutes Percy stared at her as all the memories slowly flowed back. Sitting there staring at Annabeth he cried at what he had done to the girl who loved him through everything.

Annabeth glared at me like she was going to punch me. And then she did something that surprised me even more. She kissed me. 'Be careful, Seaweed Brain.' She put on her hat and vanished. I probably would've sat there for the rest of the day, staring at the lava and trying to remember what my name was, but the sea demons jarred me back to reality.

That shouldn't have bothered me. I mean, i knew Thalia and Luke had taken care of Annabeth when she was little. I knew the three of them had been runaways together, hiding from monsters, surviving on their own before Grover found them and tried to get them to Half-Blood Hill. But whenever Annabeth talked about the time she'd spent with them, I kinda felt... I dont know. Uncomfortable? No. Thats not the word. The word was jealous.
