I had the funny thought of: What if the pebbles in Grace’s class overhear something about rock candy and start speculating wildly what that means.

Pebble One: Teacher Grace calls us sweet; a property he’s also said is attributed to candy… does that mean we taste like candy to Teacher Grace and humans?

Pebble Two: I am confused, Teacher Grace has also said humans couldn’t eat heavy metals…how does Teacher Grace know we’re sweet?

Pebble Three: Teacher Grace also told us humans don’t eat rocks outside of sodium chloride.

Pebble One: Humans eat flammable poisons all the time (alcohol), so maybe some humans also eat rocks?

Another snippet from chapter two of To Observe Soft Flesh as my body slowly, SLOWLY recovers from its fourth major illness this month. Hey did you know that super strong antibiotics can cause a gastric infection? BECAUSE I DIDN'T.

Well enjoy Adrian having a crisis about her new job offer of "staying in a top secret research facility to keep a freaky alien alive". I wonder if she'll accept it?

I’ve been scouring the internet and maybe I just missed it, but is there a PHM fic where ghosts are real, and sure enough the ghosts Yáo Li-Jie and Olesya Ilyukhina are haunting the Hail Mary. And at first Grace (and Rocky) can’t see them.

But then after Planet Adrian and near death events for both our intrepid heroes lead them both able to perceive the ghosts, both of whom have a lot to say to Grace now that he can hear and see him.
