Gabby’s Valentine’s Day care package had finally arrived ten days late. Their was a picture that his niece had drawn for him(and was now waiting on the desk to be hung up), a note from his sister taped to a heart shaped box of assorted chocolates, and at least a dozen or so boxes of the chalky sweethearts(so he could spread the love and make friends in the asylum). He wasn’t going to pass them out, he couldn’t pass them out considering he could barely get words out of his mouth and the people here sometimes scared him. Setting up the little trashcan just outside the door he ripped open the first package and tossed the little hearts into it from his bed only really sparing the yellow ones. Some made it and some didn’t, it wasn’t exactly a fun little sport just simply something to do.
He was right there. Anna hadn’t seen him since what felt like forever. The last moment they had together (or at least the one she remembered most vividly) had managed to mentally shake her up a bit. But now he was here, no chaos erupting around them, no monsters and demons separating them from one another. She took a few hesitant steps forward before knocking on the wall she was leaning against. “You like the yellow ones, too?” She asked, noting the way the boy tossed every other one into the trash. “That’s—good choice.” She added shyly, looking down.
