Chaos in Salem...
It is 1692 and major chaos is going on in Salem, Massachusetts. My family is in danger, I’ve dropped out of Harvard to protect my mother. A group of girls are claiming to have been bewitched by a group of people, part of that group is claimed to be my mother. A large witch hunt has been searching for the group of people, two have been found and have been hanged. I cannot let them hang my mother, I cannot! My dear mother is not a witch! My mother is the most caring person I know, she is no witch.
Update1: Five more people have been found and hanged.
Update 2: Six more people have been found, five were hanged and one was pressed to death.
Update 3: It is now 1693 and the Salem witch trials are over. Overall twenty people were captured and killed, two dogs were also hanged. Unfortunately my mother was one out of twenty. It is a terrible time for my family. They captured my mother when my father, my brother John, and I were out on our farm. I keep thinking about the what ifs, what if I stayed by my mother side. The governor ended the witch trials only because his wife was accused of witchcraft, he pardoned the women who were accused and died. But nothing will ever be enough, I will never forgive those who made accusations against my mother, my innocent mother.
R.I.P my beautiful mother
Till next time,

I find it interesting how I can use tumblr to learn about the history of my town. I understand your pain, Andrew, because my great grandmother was also hung in the Salem Witch Trials. That is my secret that I never told anybody because I thought it would effect my reputation even if it is not my fault. But as I lay here with not much life in me left, I know that it is safe to confess my generational burden. Although I never met her, I know that my great grandmother did no wrong, and that this was a simply outrageous time. I hope that you still see me as a good person when I am gone, and not as a witch. God be with ye all.
