“Pretty upset, yeah. I mean it happens a lot; me falling. I’m sort of used to it by now but it’s always disappointing when I drop something. Especially food or something that I paid for because i’m literally wasting it.It sucks doesn’t it?”

“ I completely understand I would be upset too especially if the thing that you dropped was expensive. Luckily for me I haven’t tripped and dropped something but its bound to happen sooner or later. I usually just run into things when i’m not paying attention.”

“How are you not into music? We should change this!” Daisy said with a bright smile.

“Its hard to be into music when you can’t listen to it. I doubt you can change that, but I do love reading lyrics,” Annette answered with a small grin.

“The beatles?! You know… a rock band from England thats super famous?! I mean they have to be super famous if even I know them!”

“ Oh i’m not really into music. The name seems familiar though probably because they are as super famous as you say they are.”

“It’s not your fault, I’m just a klutz.”

“ Oh I know. I just feel really bad. You must be pretty upset huh? I know I would be. I can be a klutz sometimes too, so I understand the struggle.”

“Leave it to me to trip and drop my whole ice cream on the ground.”

“ I am so sorry for your loss.”

“Oh, you have got kidding me right now.” The ginger huffed, glancing down at the design sketches that now sported a coffee stain.

“ I’m so, so sorry. I just wasn’t paying attention and tripped over the leg of the chair and it all happened so fast. I am so sorry. Do you want me to go get napkins? Maybe we can save your drawings?” Annette spoke hurriedly as if in a panic.

Eh, I haven’t really been inventing as much. Stupid inventor’s block. But someday, yes, and you will be with me, and we will go to jail together. [Ichiru smiled again] Ah, ice cream, that sounds nice. Ice cream. Okay, yes.

I’ve noticed, but you are bound to think of something sooner or later. Ah no. You are not dragging me with you to jail!” Annette laughs.” Ice cream is perfection if you ask me. Yay! Lets do it! Hey maybe I can help you brainstorm possible inventions while we get ice cream?”

“Yay! Breakfast Club is a classic, you can’t not love it. We do need popcorn though. It’s the only way to watch it.”

“ Oh I have heard of that movie! I hope all the hype is worth it. Yes popcorn is a must without popcorn movies just aren’t as good as they should be,” Annette laughed slightly.

“It really does… yeah.” he said softly like he was lost in his own world for a few seconds. “And thank you. I hope something like that hasn’t happened to you before. No one really deserves to be judged, especially someone nice like you…”

“No problem. I hate to break it to you, but it happens quite often to me,” Annette shrugs like it isn’t a big deal. “ People can’t help but criticize what they don’t understand and worse what they think they do.”

“That sounds like something a narc would say…”

Annette furrowed her brows and crossed her arms defensively,” I’m not a narc,” She pouted.

“Oh… I suppose that makes sense,” Nikita said, her eyebrows still furrowed. “I guess there’s still some things I haven’t completely gotten used to since coming here. I mean, back home, there a graveyard that was essentially used a playground. And the dead… I mean, my own dad is pretty much all bones. Literally. I wasn’t trying to be a bother. I was just trying to get pictures and be of some company for the dead. The dead can get lonely, you know.”

“ Oh. Where are you from? You mean your dad was just really skinny right? I never thought about that. That the dead can get lonely. I guess its possible. “

See, bug? Not illegal. [Tadashi smiled] I know what I’m doing. Now let’s just go do something fun. [Ichiru took both of Annette’s hands and swung them around her waist] We haven’t hung out in like, forever.

“ I’m still waiting, though, for your little experiments to land in that illegal territory. Its bound to happen.” Annette smiled.”Yeah we haven’t have we? We really need to fix that. What do you want to do? We could go get ice cream? Ice cream is always the answer.”

“We should have someone video tape that then. It could be like a beatles album cover except us dancing like lunatics!”

“ The who? Dancing like lunatics does sound like a lot of fun.”

“But it’s legal here in Maine, and unless you’re a police officer who’s worried if I have Glaucoma or not, I can smoke in front of you. Wait- are you a narc? ‘Cause if you are…I totally have Glaucoma and this is prescription…”

“ Relax. I’m not a narc. I technically have no right to tell you what you can and can’t do especially on something that isn’t illegal. I can just tell you that you probably shouldn’t, but then again its your life.”

Daisy giggled, “But what if no cars are coming? I mean then we’d be just fine.”

“ I guess it would be ok if no cars were there. We could also do it while we’re on a cross walk to be extra safe. Then we can go dance like crazy.”

“You are aware that there’s a reason cats and dogs are in a pound right? Some of them aren’t always pretty and cute and nice. –You still willing to nab some with me though?”

“ Yeah I know all that. That part doesn’t matter. How they look and act doesn’t matter. They are still worth saving even if they aren’t the perfect pets. Maybe even more so since no one is jumping up to help them. Someone should though. I guess that’s us. So, yeah, i’m in.”
