Deep inside his heart, Ace knew that he would have gone awol even if his captain hadn’t allowed him to leave. The desire to see Luffy became sickening every time he saw his bounty poster. He stroked the little scar under his eye with the tips of his fingers, the cute dimples on his cheeks, and then ripped the poster off the wall completely to keep it.

Goten overheard nasty rumours about the Son family every now and then: “Raditz would bang Chichi while her husband is away”. He was constantly away, and Goten low-key wished that the rumours were true. He would never be able to tell anyone the truth, and it was driving him mad.

It was a hot and stuffy evening in July but Sasuke felt like he was burning from the inside from anger rather than heat. He knew that something was off, he felt it with his guts when Itachi and their parents started mentioning his upcoming sixteenth birthday often. He had lived with this family and this clan long enough to understand that it wasn’t about a surprise birthday party or an expensive gift.

He never really expected to beat his father in a fight. He was one of the greatest and strongest warriors in the universe, if not the strongest. Until that moment, Trunks couldn’t even make him stump for once. It took about a month before he managed to spar with him as an equal, and it was enough progress for him to think that their time in the Room of Spirit and Time was paying off. Was it possible that Vegeta just lowered his guard for a moment? Or could Trunks possibly become so strong that he simply overpowered him?
