Second video dedicated to the classic adventure series is up in my YouTube channel! This time we get to talk about the movie THE PRISONER OF ZENDA (1937) starring Ronald Colman, Douglas Fairbanks Jr., David Niven or Mary Astor. Based on Anthony Hope’s novel, it has been adapted for the big screen many times but, in my opinion, this is the definitive version. We get also to pay tribute to the fantastic work of cinematographer James Wong Howe. Will you miss it?

Random Harvest (1942) - This is the poster WB, who owns the distribution rights, chose to use on the DVD box art. That is, they used the portraits of Greer Garson, and Ronald Colman. Garson’s hair has it’s proper vibrant right color, however. More awkward is the rose with a second smaller head in place of a thorn. I’m not sure if it’s supposed to be Garson again (it looks like her) or Susan Peters, the second female lead. It’s a rather odd looking, but likely it’s meant to be symbolic.
The head is Garson and the rose is the Miniver rose the publicity is trading on her recent hit.
