Hey everyone! I'm doing a thing! I can't say this enough but @saltnpepperbunny thank you for creating your webcomics. You made me want to learn how to draw and start my own.

Panel 1: Xari sleeps peacefully in their bed and there is a "thud" noise from somewhere above their head off-screen. Panel 2: Xari's watch, a silver band on their top-left arm, flashes and speaks to them. The bubble is blue and blocky. It says "Good Morning -Xari- It is 6:30am. Initialising daylight environment conditions" Panel 3: The lights turn on, making the scene brighter and Xari finally opens their eyes with a sigh. Panel 4: Xari sits up, yawns and stretches, showing their lower jaw can split into 2 halves. Behind the bed is an enclosure of some kind containing purple vines with mushroom-like growths. Instead of glass, the enclosure is sealed using some kind of force field. Blue hexagons that light up in a rippling pattern indicate the enclosures boundary. Small animals can be seen inside the enclosure. Panel 5: Xari turns to look at the creatures and speaks to them in a standard, white speech bubble. "Good morning guys." it says in plain black text Panel 6: A close up of the two creatures shows them excitedly wiggling their tails and joy. They are raptor-like in overall body shape, made out of similar twisted purple vines with heads and tails that resemble the mushroom-like growths on the plant in their enclosure. Panel 7: Xari turns to get out of bed, saying "Ok Ok, let me get ready, then I’ll get your breakfast." /End DI]

I would like to try and post artwork, not like a job, but I know myself well enough where if I don't have a schedule, I might not draw anything at all. So if there's a day I can dedicate to posting new artwork, that might stop me from not drawing... Or this plan might fail, who knows XD

Because this is the year I'm gonna really try and stick with art, I'm gonna show you some of my old artworks that I've done throughout my time where I kept starting and stopping.

This concept was for my medical necromancer character in D&D named Dr. Strong. She was a Loxodon and her whole thing was that she lost her medical license because of necromancy.

This was made around 2020

The one time I wanted to create a silly comic, Anani couldn't help me.

Sometimes it's best to walk away when something isn't working. I spent several hours trying to make waves look like actual waves and I just couldn't do it. I know I'm still learning and this is all apart of learning so while I'm upset that I'm walking away from this, I not that upset. I'll just draw something else.

Anani, “Hey Skye, I just got a great idea for a new comic.”

Skye, “Awesome. Can I draw backgrounds this time?”

Anani, “Actually, this one won’t work without backgrounds.”

Skye, “Finally! What’s it about?”

Cinnamon angrily interrupts, “It’s 3AM and we’re trying to sleep. If you two don’t shut up right now, I’m going to intervene.”

There is a pause represented by two small speech bubbles containing “…”

Finally, Anani says, “Hey Skye, I just got another idea for a comic.”

Sometimes, creating comics is hard.

Panel 1:

Anani – So, you want to write a three-panel comic all by yourself? Skye – I mean, if you can do it, how hard can it be?

Panel 2:

Anani – Okay, let’s pretend I’m not a professional writer. How does the comic end? Skye – Uh…

Panel 3:

Explosion.

Sometimes... I forget I need to eat food...

Panel 1: Cinnamon walks in on Anani and Skye sitting at a desk. One is writing while the other is drawing.

Cinnamon – Hey, you two, whatchu doing? Anani – Writing. Skye – Drawing.

Panel 2:

Cinnamon – That’s wonderful. Skye, did you remember to save this time? Skye – Yes, Cinnamon. I’m not a child, you know. Cinnamon – I know. I was just wondering if there was anything either of you forgot to do today.

Panel 3: Both of their stomachs growl loudly.

Panel 4:

Skye – We forgot to eat, didn’t we? Anani – This could make a funny comic. Cinnamon – Go feed us!

I cried for like three minutes until this comic pop into my head.

Panel 1: Anani walks into a room and sees an upset Skye.

Anani – What’s wrong? Skye – I finally got inspired to draw without you, and I was making this beautiful background when…

Panel 2: In huge bold text: I FORGOT TO SAVE!

Anani is blown off screen while Skye cries.

Panel 3: Anani tries to comfort Skye.

Anani – That sucks, but hey, I just got an idea for a comic. Skye – Stares angrily

Panel 4: Anani is now off-panel.

Anani – You know you want to do it! Skye – I hate you so much.

Who would've thought changing the background colour makes the text so much easier to read?

Panel 1:

Anani – What are you doing?

Skye – No one’s gonna read our comics if I don’t improve the artwork. Plus, a white background is hard on the eyes, so I’m changing it.

Panel 2:

Anani – So… what’s the deep hidden meaning behind this colour?

Skye – It’s very simple.

Panel 3:

A blue background, making only Anani head visible.

Panel 4:

Anani – You just wanted me to disappear.

Skye – Huh. Looks like I missed a spot.

I found motivation to draw, it just happened to be motivation to do a really big project.

I think Anani forgot that we need to take baby steps before leaping off cliffs with these grand ideas.

Maybe creating short comics is a compromise we can both make?
