I miss my Brother
Loving you makes me wanna read my "bible" and pray so maybe ill learn to open my heart to the things youre trying to teach me. Learning to believe in myself has to be some kind of miracle. The way you preach it and you prostelytize like none of my sins ever drew blood. Like I can let go of the cross im gripping so tight that it looks like stigmata. When I drop to my knees my brow covered in the blood at my feet. A red baptismal pool that im drowning in because its easier than raising my eyes to see how youve forgiven my sins and ignore my doubts. How you only see the gold in my intentions and not the iron of fear lodged in the pit of my stomach; thats holding me up like the broken crucifix in my back. The one where my spine used to be that I put in my Brothers coffin next to his Brothers faith in humanity and his Mothers hope for redemption. Just like every other single tragically beautiful, blackened-bone and blue rose, thing I couldn't find a way to mention.
Idk if they are my tribe but they are my people. Their is something soul deep that ties me to this land. Native, African Slave, so much blood has been spilt here and some of it is in my veins.

Im trying to revive a half dead sunflower plant. So far there is a tiny bit of green on it. It had an accident with some vinegar, dont ask, so I cut the heads off so hopefully it would stop drawing vinegar up the plant and maybe some of it would be okay. So I keep watering it to help flush poison out etc. My thoughts are once it has a bit more green I can repot it with my GFs help.
Apparently one of the tell tale signs im having mental and emotional issues is that I start talking about different gun projects and customisable parts and gun related things. My girlfriend just told me thats how she knows when I need to rest or mentally unwind. I dont like this cuz she's right and I know she's right cuz im currently stressed and I was looking up gun parts on my lunch break to tell her about when I got home.

The iron hook slid free from his shoulder with a wet metallic shriek. Something black and arterial splashed across the stones between them.
The torturer stepped back instinctively. Not out of mercy. Out of surprise. The prisoner laughed. Not loudly. Worse than loudly. Softly. Like he had just remembered a private joke older than civilization.
“You still think pain is a language,” he said.
Another blow. This time across the mouth. Teeth cracked. Blood sheeted down his chin in long ribbons.
The interrogator hissed through clenched teeth. “Tell me where God went.”
The prisoner turned his head slowly. There was blood in his smile now.
“There are organisms,” he said, “living beneath Antarctic ice that have never seen the sun and have still learned how to eat.”
The room had gone very still. Somewhere in the dark, machinery groaned.
The interrogator grabbed him by the jaw hard enough to bruise bone.
“You think this makes you immortal?”
The prisoner spat a clot of red onto the floor between them.
“No,” he whispered.
“I think it makes you temporary.”
The torches flickered.
For one impossible second, the interrogator became aware of his own pulse. The heat in his veins. The soft wetness of his eyes. The damp animal electricity inside every living thing. The prisoner watched realization bloom across his face and smiled wider, blood running between his teeth.
“You cannot threaten a creature from the dirt,” he said, “with returning to the dirt.”

My girlfriend is such an amazing helper. The little things like making my coffee or packing lunch got me help so much. Not The task itself but knowing someone is supporting my day. It's a good feeling.
