Here is the song I was referencing earlier. I’ve had this song for a number of years, but I can’t tell you if I’ve listened to it more than once since I downloaded it. I’ve been into Valencia a lot lately and saw it in my Christmas playlist so I decided to give it a listen. This song instantly cut me to the core. I grew up in Pennsylvania, and every year, my family got together in PA to spend Christmas together. Christmas has always been my favorite holiday, and I love the memories it provided. I’ll spare you the stories because it’d only make this post unbearably long. This year I’m in Phoenix, AZ for school, and I won’t be going home for Christmas. I’m going to miss it. Not only will I miss getting together with my family, I always got together with friends too. Obviously that won’t be happening either. I love what I’m doing, and I’m glad I’m doing it. However, I’m going to miss seeing those old familiar faces. I have the best family and friends around, and I love them even if I’m not the nest at showing it. Even though this song makes me tear up, I love the memories it brings to the surface of my mind. Cherish the important people in your life and enjoy every moment you get with them.
