Zoya Nail Polish Review! I took advantage of their AWESOME offer, 2012 coupon code for 2 free nail polishes- just pay shipping. So, for 8 bucks I got 2 polishes. They came in this cute little box (pictured above) with some nail swatch plates and a little info book that has ALL of their colors! I loved getting the swatch plate because online swatches are just so hard to picture.

The two I got are Laurie (left) and Jem (right). Laurie is a milky-semi opaque pink. Two coats doesn’t quite conceal the whole nail, but three will for sure! It’s the perfect spring color. What I love is that it’s NOT streaky, like Figi from Essie is. Jem is a deepened raspberry with a gold frost. It’s really a gorgeous color, but I didn’t think it was going to be this dark. I was a bit disappointed since I thought I’d be able to wear it for spring, but I’ll just have to find the right time time to wear it! It’s SO opaque though, one coat was ALL I needed for full coverage. Overall, these are great nail polishes. Pros:

Great packaging

Not streaky

Very creamy

Very smooth

Doesn’t bubble

Smell is VERY MILD, which I thought was amazing!

Cons:

Laurie is a bit sheer.

What eye make up would suit the gown in the photo? Its for my school ball and well I want to look like a princess! I have my dress (the one in the photo) and my prince charming (:P) but i'm stuck on what to do for makeup! Should I incorporate purple into my eyes? or leave it? please help! thanks in advance :) xx

I'm so so sooo sorry I haven't gotten around to answering this and I have no idea how long ago you left this so if you've already gone to the event I'm sorry again :( but if you haven't I've just looked up some makeup tutorials that I think would be good for this dress and I've come across this one (clicky) it's a very soft and subtle look that I think would be perfect with this dress since the dress has a lot of sparkles on it and you don't want the makeup to overpower that. Again, I'm terribly sorry if I'm too late! 

Also, if you want a more dramatic look this one is lovely! (click) But you obviously don't have to go so bright on the lips, you can do something more natural.

I was REALLY hoping since you dont want to do a youtube vid, that you could have just one blog showing HOW to put eyeshadows. As in brushes, shadows, and mainly BLENDING techniques which I seem to fail at. I have the naked pallet but idk how to work with it. So if you ever have the time, your advice would be appreciated! Thank you!

I don't really have much time to do it right now (which is why my blog sucks at the moment :P) but heres a good video that I actually watched the other day that shows how to blend eyeshadows together http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BeGm3s1RZY8&feature=feedu

He is a professional makeup artist who also makes videos on youtube, you should check out his other videos they're very helpful. And they're nice and short and get to the point so you don't have to listen to someone ramble on like a lot of people on youtube do :P

I absolutely LOVE the Naked palette. If you do want to recreate the look he's doing in that video you can use Virgin all over the lid and Creep in the corner/crease. If you want something a bit more subtle but still pretty you can use Sin all over the lid and Darkhorse in the corner/crease. I use those two colors together ALL the time. And then if you wanted something even more subtle, say for just a natural daytime look, you can use Naked on the lid and Buck in the crease and then if you want you can pop a tinyyy bit of Virgin right under the eyebrow for your highlight. And since those two are matte colors it will look more natural.

As for some brushes that are more affordable than say MAC or something you can use Sigma brushes. They are amazing quality and very affordable. A couple good ones to use for just every day eyeshadow application would be the E55 eye shading brush, I use this to put color all over the lid. The E35 tapered blending brush is awesome for blending your color through the crease. If you go to the Sigma website and look around at the brushes they all explain what they're used for and there is also customer reviews which I always find really helpful.

The key is to basically just practice practice practice. That's how I learned how to do makeup and to be honest I think it's the best way to learn because everyone has different techniques and just because something works well for one person doesn't mean it will for you. Just keep searching youtube for videos on how to apply and blend eyeshadows and also just type in the search bar something like "eye brushes for beginners" You'll be amazed at how many helpful videos are actually on there.

They're just butthurt because I found some picture on weheartit.com and apparently it was some girls picture and she was mad that I used it but you know what, this is the internet and if you post a picture on here anyone can use it.
