Welcome to the zone, you stranger! I come by as Anser, and no, I am not a furry. Kinda hard to explain, but I am an alien, with wings and other scary stuff. Don't frame me to the men in black though.

On this blog I am posting my art (fan, og, studies), reblog other awesome artists, occasionally make memes and complain about life. I also have set up a new reddit account by the same username, so there is planned some development.

Important to note that I am a self-taught artist and paint as a hobby (and escape from the burdens of studying). I am not capable of doing it all day.

I am fluent in russian and english, can also speak azerbaijani (them men in black will never figure I'm hiding in Azerbaijan). For the sake of understanding the primary language would be english.

Currently pursiung a bachelor's in aerospace engineering. It has its ups and painful downs, but the skills taught are exciting in the core. My biggest obstacle standing on my way in studying is burnout.

No way in hell they will be letting me or my group mates near aircraft, so breathe freely.

Interests include: sci-fi, mechas, aliens, alt-history, worldbuilding and concept art.

Preferred music genres: industrial rock, NDH, nu-metal, techno, hardstyle and some other EDM genres, original soundtracks.

I vibe to heavy industrial and petrol refinery plant aesthetics. Half-Life 2 spoiled me that way. What kind of a mess I must be to appreciate THIS xD

I am kind of alive. Three more exams left. Two of them suck ass, but hey at least I got A for physics-2 yesterday, and the previous two weren't bad. Not so excited for math analysis next Tuesday (;_;)

Finish What You Started

Took me around 3 hours. Purely from imagination. In the end I simply photobashed Prof Brand's blackboard writings (You can find them on a caltech website) so that it won't be empty in the background. There is also unsharp mask and posterisation added.

I passed my last math analysis colloquium with 9/10! It is our last week, when June starts we will be doing session exams. I am not failing any subject so far ;-] but overall, I can consider myself relieved.

I have decided to switch from medibang to firealpaca, because after making my first og painting there yesterday, I found the ui pretty similar to mbp but also providing extra editing features (like posterise and better noise, I used these to make an old digital camera effect), and even animation feature I wanna try out someday, if I ever find a suitable style for that. Plus, now I realise why every file I did on mbp were listed as firealpaca documents. I still use medibang on phone though, because I am not always using the laptop.

Just a random thing that came to imagination. Yesterday I have been returning home and liked the evening clouds. I didn't get the chance to capture the pic, so I took it from memory and pulled out some forest out of thin air to make a scenery. Some colour adjustment was done in and post painting. But still it was low effort to make.

Now can I go a bit into academy rant? Today was our second coding colloquium, this time no luck because these mischieves removed the gosling pic from my class desktop. At the first 45 min he tasked us to do lab and individual work at the same time, and took away our notebooks "for fairness", beesh. Nobody could do shit, even our big brain girl. So we failed that. Then on the other 45 mins he gave us the actual colloq to do, and permitted us to use notebooks, where was his "fairness" that time? And the matrix tasks he gave us weren't easy either, though he claimed they were. Nevertheless, thank you, everybody got 0 at that as well. So, he simply put the minimum scores for everything so we don't fail this subject before exams.

It is kind of a combination of either us being too stupid for c++, or him being the smarty pants believing it must be easy for us if it is elementary to him.

Alright, today we were supposed to have a coding colloquium, but we went to a conference held by Airbus at our academy. A pristine British man was representing the field services branch. He introduced himself and the aims of Airbus in collaboration with our national airlines, then we had a Q&A. We were encouraged by small rewards for asking questions. At first I hesitated to actually sit through some "boring conference", but boy was I wrong, that man (not going to write his name though) was interesting to listen to, so I made up a question in my head and asked for a mic. He was eager to reply, and cheerful despite our little slips. Way different than our folks, who only give out dead, unenthusiastic energy.
