remember when will was at war with his sexuality, so he destroyed castle byers, the place that was built on the day he got away from his abusive homophobic father

because he's realising that despite the horrible ways he said it, his father was right, he WAS different, he WAS queer, and that makes it so much more difficult to come to terms with

so he destroyed the thing that symbolised the freedom he felt the day his father left, because those words never really left him, he can't escape that part of himself, he never REALLY got away from it

so he destroyed the physical manifestation of that freedom, because it felt like a lie

I will never get over that El & Will went through so much, only to have the show fail them in the end. They deserved so much more than just sacrificing themselves and their dreams for others. The wonder twins deserve a happy ending.
