It seems that both shadowvanilla shippers and antis have a hard time grasping the concept of love/hate. Shadowvanilla shippers act as if Shadow Milk's hatred for Pure Vanilla is just a "facade" when he definitely is at the very least angry and jealous of Pure Vanilla, and then the antis act as if he actually just hates Pure Vanilla and completely disregard the obvious implications that he does harbor some romantic feelings towards him. There's a middle ground here, believe it or not. Feelings are complicated and messy and that's why Shadow Milk is so obsessed with Pure Vanilla
The opposite of love is NOT Hate. It is INDIFFERENCE. And if there is only one thing Shadow Milk absolutely does not feel towards Pure Vanilla, it's indifferent.
He yearns for him. He pushes him away in fear and anger.
He wants to impress him. He insists that Pure Vanilla is just a puppet, a toy he can play with.
He wants to be whole with him. He is afraid that allowing another to see him, ALL of him, will only end with him getting hurt.

in all this proship and antiship stuff, one thing I am wondering about is birth rates. Birth rates are falling. People do not want to have children. In my experience proshippers often push for characters getting pregnant and giving birth. I wonder if one of the reasons proshippers are being told to get out of every single space is because the most influential leaders in the world are fine with pedophilia and people use fandom to escape that, only to come face to face with civilians who have similar mindsets. This is an improvement though. If she's telling the truth, then no more legal action will be taken against Joji and the others.
