Obsessed with the idea of vampires not as powerful bloodthirsty predators but as creatures who are slaves to their own needs and shotcomings. Vampires who experience withdrawal and weakness without blood, who can be exploited and tamed if their food source is taken away or controlled. Vampires who can be subdued and taken advantage of simply by binding them with a rosary, or garlic, or trapping them with sunlight/uv lamps.

I want to see a being of incredible physical power and immortality brought low by things outside its control, to be reduced down to something even weaker than a human. A predator who is, at its core, no more than a beast.
