Cruden Bay Golf Club. Peterhead, Scotland. Hole 4, Par 3, 196 yds. There is nothing quite like golf at Cruden Bay. Quite possibly the world's funnest course.
Autumn Golf in New England. Green Mountain National Golf Club. Taconic Golf Club. The Captains Course.
Payne's Valley. Hollister, Missouri. Hole 16, Par 3, 224 yds. A Tiger Woods Joint.
Buffalo Ridge Golf Course at Big Cedar Lodge. Hollister, Missouri. Where the buffalo roam. It's hard to get noticed with Ozarks National and Payne's Valley right next door, but Buffalo Ridge is no slouch. Designed by Tom Fazio Buffalo Ridge holds its own with its higher profile neighbors.
The Golf Club of Houston. Tournament Course. Humble, Texas. Hole 18, Par 4, 487 yds. This was taken while walking the course during a fog delay at my son's high school tournament. The former home of the PGA Tour's Houston Open, the 18th hole on the Tournament Course at the Golf Club of Houston was a perennial fixture on the list of the PGA Tour's toughest holes. It follows C.B. MacDonald's Cape template and is almost identical to the 18th hole on the Blue Monster course at Trump Doral.
