"Little Women" author Louisa May Alcott was a transgender man - LGBTQ Nation
here's an absolutely fucking infuriating article if you want to check it out. basically Louisa May Alcott was gender-non-conforming at a time when gender roles were much stricter than now, was attracted to women, and said that she felt like she had a man's soul in a woman's body, which used to be a common way of describing homosexuality before the word homosexual, so she must have been a man. go fuck yourself
TRAs calling every historical woman who displayed any level of gender non-conformity a man should be labelled as sexism, since it is. You cannot rewrite history to conform to your beliefs.
If I hear another person say that people can change sex because of clownfish or whatever I'm gonna start talking about how women should be able to eat their children because of lions, hamsters, spiders, etc etc
i would be much easier and gentler on the nb self-identification crowd if they didn't feel the need to point out how little they think of other women all the time. "i use gn pronouns when i want to feel equal to my male partners and fem ones when i want to feel girly" you have let misogyny seep so deeply into your brain that you do not perceive women as human anymore and you don't even register that as something to be regretful over and ashamed of. i am not playing along with somebody who doesn't perceive women as human and wears that as a badge of honour. come on.
questions for the gendies: when you remove the female body from the definition of woman, what else remains besides sexist feminine stereotypes?
when a male says he identifies as a woman, what exactly is he identifying with? you can’t identify with a organs you don’t have, so what is he actually identifying with, if not sexist feminine stereotypes?
and how is it progressive to say that a man who identifies with feminine stereotypes is a woman? is it not more progressive to say that a man who identifies with feminine stereotypes… is simply a feminine man?
the only way to break sexist stereotypes is to say “Im a woman and i dont adhere to this” not to say “Im not a woman because i dont adhere to this”
when they call you “gay but not culturally queer”, this is the culture in question btw
the phrase "genital preference" fills me with so much fucking rage. making homosexuals feel like bigots for their immutable sexual attraction is sooooooo progressive and not at all a direct mirror of widespread homophobic beliefs that threw homosexuals into conversion camps and victimized lesbians through the extra, misogynistic form of corrective rape.
crazy how the people who biologically cannot have a "genital preference" are being told we're bigots instead of... idk.... being believed. crazy how straight people are never called bigots for only liking the opposite sex. crazy how gay men aren't the recipient of an entirely new derogatory term for their same-sex attraction.
isn't it just adorable that the same community elder homosexuals built from their blood, sweat, and tears have reinvented homophobia? isn't it so cute that "you would like it if you tried it" and "sexuality is a choice" and "nobody is 100% gay" has overtaken the progressive sphere, when homosexuals fought for decades to destroy this rhetoric?
and let's not forget the most hilarious part: instead of respecting the unchangeable nature of our sexuality, the people excluded from our dating pool (through no choice of our own) express their entitlement over our bodies through abusive tactics: manipulation, fear, guilt-tripping, propaganda, lies, political movements, co-opted phrases, threats, weaponized empathy, etc etc etc. all of this abuse has been platformed, celebrated, encouraged, and incited on the grounds of inclusivity—as if attraction and sex and relationships and dating aren't exclusionary by their very nature.
"nobody owes you sex," except this doesn't apply when the person is homosexual, apparently. homosexuals lose the right to our bodies, our comfort, our safety, our dignity when inclusivity is at stake. no matter how much i say i'm not attracted to the male body, how deeply sex with a penis would traumatize me, how disgusted and violated i would feel, i'm not given the simple respect of knowing where my attraction lies. i'm a bigot. i need to "unlearn my genital preference". i need to try girldick because i might like it. i should be beaten, and raped, and hung and shot and stabbed to death.
gender presentation has no bearing on sexuality. it's why masc lesbians, butches, and studs have always been and always will be lesbians. it's why, no matter how beautiful a trans woman is or how well she passes, i physically cannot have attraction to the male body, and i refuse to force myself. my brain only knows love of the female form, which is SO much more than a vagina and breasts.
people's inability to understand/relate to exclusive same-sex attraction has resulted in a very long history of horrific oppression, and yet very few progressives want to make the connection with what's happening now. well, guess what? that's what it is. two sides of the same coin, except "genital preference" is a much more palatable term for the morally superior masses than homophobia.
just because you aren't exclusively homosexual doesn't mean we don't exist, and it gives you no fucking right to tell us who we are, how we should be, and how our immutable reality is wrong.
we aren't bigots, we just aren't you.
and if you read this post with a knee-jerk reaction of hatred and disgust toward the homosexuals in this situation, congratulations. you fell for it. you've become the very bigoted person you claim to hate. but i'm a homosexual woman so i know you won't believe anything i say anyway.
How on Earth did we reach a point where males are being allowed to redefine what it means to be a woman, and then use their new made up definition to demand access to female spaces and resources, and to demand that they are exempt from being subject to the laws and boundaries that are there to protect us?
It blows my mind how so many women are encouraging this and will even go so far as to condem and ostracize anyone who is not going along with it. How did peoples understanding of feminism get so twisted that this shit is getting pushed as being a part of it??
To add insult to injury, the whole premise of gender ideology relies on the very gendered sterotypes and expectations that have been enforced on all of us for thousands of years as a means of oppression on the basis of our sex. But somehow this is supposed to be progressive. I encourage gender non-conformity, but what's happening right now is accomplishing the opposite.
Not to mention that the studies that they point to as proof and justification for what they are pushing are often poorly done and have shaky data at best, and are being taken way out of context in order to fit a narrative. It is un-scientific and frustrating to see how normalized it is becoming to say that the science says things that it doesn't, and how any new research that doesn't fit their viewpoint gets attacked.
hey guys genuine question what the actual fuck are you talking about????
is queer an umbrella term that includes everyone who is not heterosexual or "cis" or is it an exclusive label that only applies to people who have certain ideas and opinions? make up your mind. also queer was and still is a slur. do you think when a homophobe yells "QUEER" out of his truck window that he is making sure the person he's yelling at is "culturally queer", liberal, or woke? or is it because that person looks homosexual and/or gender-non-conforming?
would you say:
"when I meet a gay guy who isn't culturally a faggot :("
"when a meet a lesbian who isn't a dyke :("
like do you actually think before you post these????
in a way i actually quite appreciate posts like these. like yes obviously they’re neglecting “queer” being a slur, but they’re admitting that it’s a matter of ideology rather than a sexual orientation. i will proudly take the label “gay not queer” LMAO i like girls it doesn’t mean i have insane fucked up regressive views
can you imagine just how strange the patriarchy would be from a non-human perspective? imagine an alien species lands on Earth and realizes that for hundreds of years we’ve limited our own capabilities by determining that an entire population of our intelligent species cannot contribute to advancing society. like we’ve stopped our own development because of non-tangible ideas like marriage and the supposed lower faculties of that population. the aliens would think we’re incredibly stupid
dress = woman
if you wear a dress/skirt/something traditionally feminine (despite looking like a full-blown male) and you get mad/confused when people refer to you as “sir,” you are quite literally saying that “woman” = dress/femininity. there is no way around that. there is nothing else that you are saying. you believe that being a woman is a costume
"the best way to screw jkr over is by making her characters queer!" actually. The best way to screw jkr over is to stop engaging with the property she still profits off of and read a different fucking book
Did y'all forget Dumbledore was gay? Oh wait, you don't care about actual gay representation, you want a green-haired greysexual aroace demigirl furry with an insufferable personality.
God forbid a woman wants to have short hair
ok im actually done being nice now. if you’re a cis lesbian who refuses to date trans women i genuinely think you’re a bad person. “but my genital preference” i dont care. fix your heart or die idk what to tell you
they’re not even trying to hide it anymore. pure fucking homophobia. what a disgusting thing to say
