I don't think the idea of men being required to get vasectomies at 18 is all that radical. It should not be on women to have to get our tubes tied, or go on poisonous birth control, or have to deal with getting an abortion, or going through a pregnancy. Women who aren't even sexually active (and aren't taking birth control because of it) can be raped by a man and impregnated, and that is 100% HIS doing and his fault.

Since men are the ones who impose pregnancy on us whether we want it or not, they should be the ones who are obligated to take preventative measures, period.

This is a pipe dream that will probably never happen, of course, but I'd support it if it was presented to be voted upon.

I've been thinking again about a recent interaction I had with a male, and how one thing that peaks me to greater heights of misandry is that I continuously see how foolish I would have been to let my guard down with men, because they're all the same underneath. For example, tell a man in a calm and civil manner that you don't deal with men because of xyz reasons (simplifying it for him), and stick to your guns as he attempts to Not All Men you, telling you that he himself is different and a very nice guy...

...that it's not fair to judge everyone based on your own bad experiences (calling you "damaged" already while simultaneously believing he's being polite)...

...and that feeling hostility or distrust toward half the population is not in your best interest.

Politely suffer all this, but remain firm in your stance. Then watch his sudden rage kick in.

Often he'll begin calling you a bitter miserable damaged woman (blaming you for any abuse he's projecting onto you), say that you're probably ugly and fat, involuntarily single, and going to die alone, and then he'll sanctimoniously tell you that he hopes you'll heal...so you can get back out there to be thrashed and exploited by "nice guys" like him. Men have this explosive anger and disgust toward women who will not submit to their opinions and desires, and they quickly reach a point where they no longer care if you know they hate women.

Each time it happens I think, "Imagine if I'd actually trusted any man who presented himself as reasonable and respectful of women, as they all do at first, given what is always, always, ALWAYS lurking behind that facade, and what comes out the moment they can't dominate me."

Consider also that this particular male's gf is likely the type to go around telling everyone how "wonderful" her Jakey is, while he's online harrassing women and telling them that they have a "tiny female mind" when they don't capitulate to his opinions. But Jakey's always great and SO different, right? Always. Because he only shows her what he wants her to see.

I believe this. My daughter comes home with stories of the little shitheads in her class and their behavior. While they haven't gone so far as to sexually harass the teacher, they talk over her, interrupt her, and undermine her on a daily basis. They also disrupt the girls while they're working in class. We've also received notes home to the parents about "some students" (um, boys) are pissing on the floor and walls in the bathrooms and leaving shit in the unisex toilets. There have also been a string of thefts from the girls' bags, my daughter has had money stolen.

My daughter goes to a "good" school in a "good" neighborhood with a nice mix of cultures, the problem isn't the school, or the location, or the demographics... it's a 100% MALE problem. And this problem is affecting my daughter's education.
