The whole point of being trans is to change your assigned gender because of dysphoria so why is it surprising that some people don’t mention the fact they were the gender they hated beforehand?? Maybe people want others to look at them as just another boy or girl instead of the ‘trans’boy or ‘trans’girl which often changes the perception of the person meeting them for the worse (like seeing them subconsciously as their birth sex).

Point is, you’re a fucking asshole and thicker than a wall of bricks if you think being stealth is transphobic. : ))))

I was recently horrified to see that Tumblr had recommended a blog post to me wherein an anonymous lesbian had asked if it was okay for her to temporarily go on a low dose of T even though she considers herself a cis lesbian, only wants a deeper voice, and doesn’t want any of the other effects of T. The blog’s response? Yeah, that’s fine, plenty of lesbians do it!

I think T needs to stop being pushed as the only “masculine” body modification. If a nondysphoric woman wants a deeper voice and none of the other effects of T, taking “low doses temporarily” is not the best option. A person cannot choose the order or extent of their bodily changes on T, no matter the dosage, and the vocal cords are often one of the last things to start changing.

If you only want a lower voice, please, look into vocal training! It’s less expensive, doesn’t have major unwanted side effects, is easier to access, and won’t make trans people look like a bunch of deluded assholes because a nondysphoric person was encouraged by people on the internet to use a potent body-altering drug that they were never meant to take.

If you only want one “masculine” physical trait but are grossed out by the thought of any others, first see if there’s a method of getting that trait that isn’t T. And if there isn’t, then it still really isn’t worth taking T to get that trait– even temporarily or in low doses.
