Everyone hates John Walker for killing an innocent man after his best friend dies.
Yet they stan Tonky Stank who tried to kill a man who had no control over his actions for k*lling his parents while under BRAINWASH.
If you like Tonky and are okay with him doing that, then hating on John Walker for what he did is hypocritical.
(I’m not defending John Walker in any way, just pointing out the similarities between him and Tonky)
seems pretty hypocritical that tony stans could get behind him murdering bucky but are now firmly against john walker. like, if anything, tony was WORSE than walker. how are you going to condemn someone and then defend someone else for attempting to do the exact same thing :/?
It’s been 5 years and tony stans still believe that it was bucky and Steve who started the fight in civil war. I can’t believe ever being THAT delusional watch the goddam movie.
Just a reminder–
T*ny stark had not one right to attack Bucky for killing his mother (while he was brainwashed), much less the right to kill him.
It’s okay to be angry, but never okay to try and murder someone when they couldn’t control what they were doing. That’s what some of yall aren’t understanding.

That is literally what would’ve happened if he had told him.
“Well he didn’t, and that’s why T*ny got mad at both of them, instead of just Bucky.”
T*ny would have killed Bucky. If or if Steve hadn’t told him. If Steve wasn’t there for Bucky, T*ny would’ve killed him without anything or anyone to hold him back or try to convince him otherwise.
Tony is the best. Always good heart. While steve was a traitor.

Tony was a weapons manufacturer whose weapons likely killed millions of people. It doesn’t matter that he wasn’t directly responsible, he created weapons to kill a shit ton of people at a time and to profit from it.
He made a transphobic/homophobic joke that likely could’ve gotten Rhodey in trouble and/or harmed.
He build a killer robot and knowingly kept this from everyone. Said robot tried to kill most of the Jim’s population.
Tony didn’t give a damn about the mass destruction he caused until he was cornered in a hallway and it was only about American lives.
Tony blackmailed a teen into fighting on his side and never told him what he was fighting for. He then essentially abandoned him, despite being his mentor and chastised teen Peter for acting like a teen.
Tony consistently made insensitive and asshole jokes to his fellow avengers, which included remarks about their trauma.
After he died, he left billion dollar tech that was in control of drones to a fucking teen. Furthermore, this tech was in violation of the sovokia accords, which led to the “civil war.”
Tony tried to mortal injure Sam with vision, and then when Rhodey got hurt instead, he attacked Sam. He also exposed Clint’s family to the US government, which was a major asshole move. Despite knowing that Bucky was under mind control, he tried to kill him to hurt Steve.
“While steve was a traitor.”
A traitor to who?
Steve’s convictions are centered around his morals. If he feels something is morally and ethically wrong, he will “betray” it. We see in his first movie that, despite having orders to not rescue the POWs, he does so anyway because it’s morally wrong to leave them there to die if there’s a chance they could be saved.
When he finds out that hydra infiltrated shield and the US government, he acted against them for the betterment of humankind.
When the UN proposes the Sokovia accords, he opposed them due to various rights being stripped from people with powers or enhanced people.
Steve refuses to be loyal to anyone or organizations because they have agendas. We see him clash with authority figures for this very reason. He’s naturally distrustful of any entity that wields massive amount of power.
Not to say that Steve doesn’t make bad decisions, but he’s loyal to his friends and those he cares about. However, loyalty doesn’t mean allow said friend to harm someone else due to grief and anger.
Bucky was under mind control. As tragic as Tony’s parents deaths was, it would’ve been wrong to kill Bucky for something he literally had no control over. This was unambiguously established in that same film.
Despite this, we see Steve still extend himself to Tony and give Tony a way to contact him.
We see Steve form relationships with most avengers and that many of these said avengers are LOYAL to Steve. They chose him as the leader and were willing to die fighting beside him.

Tony is very charismatic, but you have to look at how he and Steve treat people to understand that Steve makes a way better friend, colleague, etc than Tony.
Steve can convince almost literally anyone to fight beside him even it means defying the government and/or going on the run. Most of the people who sided against Steve during civil war, sided in his favor in the beginning of infinity wars. No one went from team cap to team stark. Even tiny sided with cap at the end of civil war.
And if you think I’m exaggerating, check literally every cap movie as well as avengers 2-4. Steve will start a fight alone or with one or two other people and by the end, he has had literal armies and government agencies backing him. As i said about civil war, just about every avenger literally sided with him after all was said and done. He rallied the people together in infinity wars and they followed his lead in endgame.
Like Tony has literally betrayed his fellow avengers where as Steve has constantly defended and protected them.
Tony has the good heart, but was fine locking up other avengers and Steve’s the traitor when he broke them out.

So.... so far what we’ve seen in Wandavision and Falcon and the Winter Soldier is pure chaos when the snapped came back, destroyed homes and businesses, increasing intolerance of powered people, snapped people missing out on their loved ones passing away, and the snapped being blamed for being snapped and given no relief or quarter over the fact that they didn’t have salaries or a credit score for five years because they didn’t exist.
But don’t worry or lose sleep over it, y’all. Tony Stark got to keep his daughter.
I’m sure that Sam and Sarah Wilson are comforted by that as they lose their family home and business, that Monica is comforted by that in realizing she lost her mom in the intervening years, and that Wanda is comforted by that in her having lost Vision multiple times. This doesn’t even include the regular people who had to live through the snap or the regular people who were snapped back. I’m sure they all just LOVE the fact that Tony Stark lost nothing while they lost everything. That the trolley problem facing the Avengers was one egomaniac war profiteer vs all of them and their collective problems and traumas. That Tony Stark spent the intervening five years building weapons of mass destruction for his family and Project Insight Version 3.0. It’s too bad Tony Stark didn’t survive Endgame because at least then he could see that he destroyed the entire world just for his own needs. But then again he was so goddamn stupid that he wouldn’t see that he was just as destructive if not more so than Thanos was.
Not to mention, and this is what pisses me off most about this whole stupid argument, he wouldn't have even lost Morgan! Pepper was already pregnant at the beginning of infinity war. That child was going to be born either way, the only question was would she be born into a world where half of everything had been destroyed.

the sokovia accords
the amount of “pro sokovia accords” posts on tumblr and fics on ao3 is disturbing to me. and before anyone goes “it’s fiction, so it doesn’t matter”, i’d like to say that fiction influences reality, and therefore can shape thoughts, behaviors, and beliefs.
this is going to be long and therefore i’m doing the tl;dr at the beginning:
the sokovia accords did not pass, as 117 is not a supermajority of 194. they are also a violation of several amendments to the constitution, not to mention a violation of human rights.

anyone else thinking about how it’s too bad tony stark is dead because it would have been incredible to watch radical anti government erik lehnsherr find out about the sokovia accords and destroy all the iron man suits with a single clench of his fist while yelling about how if tony (a human who can take the suit off at any time) wanted to take away the freedom of those who didn’t have that luxury (genetically enhanced individuals) than he (a very angry mutant) would take away his.........or like, just me?
