The other thing w radqueers besides the obviously-harmful things like racefaking, lying about medical conditions/couching BIID as a ~type of queerness~ you can ~transition to~ and not like, a disorder you should get mental health support for so you don’t self-harm, etc. is all the people who are like “trans[behavior]” or “trans[ideology]” as a way of trying to distance themselves from fucked-up beliefs

Like ok if you feel very deeply that you believe in Nazi ideology and “should be a Nazi” and daydream about fighting for Hitler/feel like you missed out cause you didn’t fight in WW2, you’re not ‘transnazi’ you’re a neo-Nazi sympathizer (and also fundamentally unsafe for queer people to be around!) . Plus it implies transness itself is a political belief—“gender ideology” anyone?

If you’re “transharmful” it’s probably a) intrusive thoughts/harm OCD b) dealing with other mental symptoms (eg homicidal ideation or a paraphilia—which doesn’t necessarily make you a danger) or c) if you’re having a grand old time with it and not terrified, you might just be having sexual fantasies about that (which again provided you channel it through consensual kink and not hurting others nonconsensually, is fine!). “transharmed” is usually trauma (people describe basically word for word hypersexual trauma response and then be like ‘uwu I want a conabuse relationship with a groomer, #bodilyautonomy’, which just sounds exactly like PTSD) or, again, undiscovered kinks.

So much of that kind of stuff just smacks of like. You guys are all either between 13 and 15 and haven’t learned anything serious about sexuality or mental health yet; adults who never got said education; or adults looking for people who fit the former descriptions to prey on.

And then there’s the harmless stuff where it’s just like. Wanting to look a certain way isn’t transness. You’re transpinkhair? Cool, dye your hair. it's concerning to me how people mock radqueers. not because i care about the radqueers but because i think we all need to call the radqueer community what it is. grooming. it's child grooming.

i have spoken to multiple ex-radqueers who were in the community between the ages of 13-16 and all of their feelings were pretty much identical to how i felt about being groomed. other grooming victims i have spoken to about this feel the same way. the radqueer community normalises abusive relationships and present symptoms of abuse and mental illnesses as "transids" rather than something that you can be helped with. you shouldn't care about whether or not it's a psyop or satire because real children are being harmed either way.

the more you just treat being radqueer as some evil thing without emphasising that they are groomers, the more of these kids will worry that their mental illnesses make them bad people and flock to dangerous spaces that claim they understand them better than anyone else.
