🪶👑🪶The Empress wears a crown with 12 stars, but I thought that a cocar would be better with the capybara/capivara. I don't know what is the name of cocar in english (I think it's headdress or headgear, but I'm not sure).
The cocar is a symbol of authority among the native Brazilian groups ( povos originários), so I think it's appropriate for the Empress. I didn't want to take way the look of the cocar by adding stars to it, so I put the 12 stars 🌟 around the capybara/capivara.
🟥The red necklace symbolize the sensuality and creative power and is a reference to necklaces made of tento-vermelho (falso-pau-brasil). Tento-vermeljho is a red seed that is used to make jewellery.
🌳I didn't want to do the capybara/capivara using a robe with fruits, because I thought it would look silly with the composition. So I did cajueiros in the background to symbolize abundance and fertility.
Cajueiros are cashew trees, the cashew part is the tip of the fruit (but we also eat the fruit itself, it is really juicy and sweet)
💚Next to the Empress there is a shield with the Venus symbol (♀️) that symbolize her connections to love and femininity and the ability to use the power of this connection to protect others.
Because the theme of this series is more natural/earthy, the shield is made of wood.
I want to make clear that I’m not a tarot specialist.
