Yolanda (2).
Yolanda had become a global eye opener, not just about the frailty of human life, but also about how the Philippine Government lacks fervor in serving its people. Just this morning, we saw on the Australian news: "Philippine Corruption is slowing down aid for typhoon victims." If this is being revealed in other Commonwealth countries as well, this could actually reach powerful nations and make them aware about what the root problem really is. More importantly, they could do something about it---either discipline or educate our leaders, or both. Bottom line, they could take action for us. Suntok sa buwan, pero we could all remain hopeful. Moreover, the mere fact that the filth of corruption from Filipino politicians is already being broadcast worldwide is good. It can help those crocodile-skin scumbag politicians get back to their senses and actually do something positive for their country. We are a third world country even though we don't have to be. We have the capacity and resources to actually be a successful nation. What happened recently should not make the Filipino people think less about themselves, rather, it should empower them. Other nations are actually paying attention and concern to the Philippines; it's time to speak up while they're listening.
