my thoughts on the red white & blue movie as someone who is soooo obsessed with the book

- i cannot tell if it was cast perfectly or horribly. like, it was true to character descriptions which was good but i don’t know…i feel like me personally i did not imagine alex and henry like that, but it also makes a lot of sense. i don’t know.

- it was beautifully filmed and was a very good movie, let me start with that. i did enjoy it! i will rewatch it! it is funny, cute, has a good plot, and incorporates parts of the book in very fun ways!!!

- with that being said…a lot was missing.

- like, why did nora barely have any part? AND WHERE WAS JUNE??? i missed their trio and the whole dynamic that casey developed when alex and henry got together and their groups collided.

- the movie itself would probably be great as like a standalone? but as an adaptation from a book that was SOOO detailed and SOOO character oriented, it kinda lacked

- i read someone say that alex + henry had no chemistry and i would definitely disagree on that but there were fs some scenes that fell short where they could’ve been…more?

- UMA THERMAN??? QUEEN

- i LOVED the scenes that they adapted closely. beautiful. text messages? beautiful (although i missed having a book full of them…that’s on me.) and the way they had alex and henry read them was so fun idk

- the turkey scene was funny i’m glad they kept it

- truthfully it was a GREAT movie. like i said, casey wrote such a beautiful, detailed book, that i don’t think any movie shorter than like 5 hours long could do it justice. that being said, i would watch a 5 hour long movie.

3. I was rewatching the first four episodes yesterday and today because I could, and I noticed in the first episode, zo asked his friends to not tag him in photos they took at the bar, because "I don't want my mum to see"

but my question is... why? he's just out drinking with friends, he's an adult, he's not being irresponsible or anything, so why doesn't he want her to see the photos?

is it something to do with what his mum thinks of him? is she overbearing? does she have high expectations of him? does she kinda suck?

she's probably lovely though, and ill end up adding her to my list-of-fictional-parents-to-get-adopted-by (it's a very long list)

I guess we shall find out today as the episode progresses

listening to seungkwan talk is just so… relaxing, actually, so it's happened a lot while you're in bed after a long day and he tells you in a soft voice about everything that's happened. he holds you on his chest, arm around your shoulders, and pillow talk with him is basically just him talking you to sleep more than anything else

hansol is probably the type of guy who wants to hear about your day rather than rambling about his, so you end up falling asleep on him while telling him about the weird thing that your friend did today. your voice gets drowsier, taking longer to continue after you pause, so he just laughs softly and gathers you in his arms, telling you it's okay and you can tell him later, but now it's probably a good idea to go to sleep

Among many tags that I followed on this site, Bad Buddy tag gotta be if not the most, one of my favourite tags of all time. Everytime I wanted to just read about analysis, the people from the community be like;

What do you want? An analysis of what the colour in the series represents? Or an in-depth review of Pat's clothes and their tie to Pat's love for Pran? Or how about the absolutely detailed analysis of Pran's actions down to the smallest gesture and how it showed the longing Pran had for Pat? Or a thesis complete with references to real-life studies connecting Bad Buddy to patriarchy that should be published as an official study?

Every single one of the posts was delightful and fun to read. With every single one of these posts, I fell deeper in love with Patpran.
