I got these two comments on my most popular oneshot, and im wondering if anyone else is experiencing anything similar??
first off, theyre accusing me of using ai, which i would literally never do im so against it in so many ways, and in doing so theyre insulting one of the only pieces of writing ive ever been proud of, which i cant say doesnt hurt deeply. (i truly dont see myself as much of a writer, and even if i did ive been having some kind of writer's block for about four years).
but their logic doesnt make much sense to me. why would i use soren/corvus to farm kudos?? wouldnt i use any other more popular ship in a more popular fandom if that was my goal?
and on top of that - there's no function on discord to post and "boast about" shit, so what did they mean there? and more importantly my only public social media is right here, my tumblr, where im very heavily against ai
they also have perfect grammar and punctuation. there's a semicolon in that first comment there. and there are people that like to use perfect grammar and punctuation in literally everything, i used to be one of those people, but it feels really suspicious.
and there's no specific examples from my work about how its "soulless" and "machine-produced", so if these are real people trolling for engagement, i dont think they actually read my work.
and, one of the most important things i noticed: theyre both guest accounts. there is no way to track them, to see if they've harassed other creators, to see what their works might look like, or to find out if theyre even real people at all.
so im pretty sure this is some fucked up dead-internet ai-self-report bullshit. so if anyone else is experiencing this or knows anything else about this, please let me know! im going to report and delete both the comments, but figured i should let other people know first
