As I said, I’m very anxious. I’ve written for very long but I’ve never taken requests before. For my mental health, I give myself the right to not write a request when I doesn’t feel like (either I really have no inspiration at all, or it’s something that bothers me, or whatever). What about writing a The Quarry "police statement" ending with the counselors just like Until Dawn based on your playthrough (who died, important actions, choices etc)

Gods, I had so much fun writing this ! Thank you for this ask ! I watched a lot of let’s plays before having my own run, so basically it was an everybody lives + all evidence found (and Dylan kept his hand !). It was better to have to write all the counselors say something, so it’s cool.

Anyways, here are my version of The Quarry’s ending, because it should have been like this.

NORTHKILL POLICE DEPARTMENT - MORNING OF AUGUST 23

         [START OF THE TRANSCRIPTION]

NORTHKILL PRECINCT - ROOM 1

[OFFICER] : Young man, we need your help on this. Don't you remember anything?

[N. FURCILLO] : I- I told you. This... animal it- it attacked me and Abi. In the woods. It bit me in the leg-

[OFFICER] : Where, exactly ? You don't have any scratch on you.

[N. FURCILLO] : I can assure you- it- it- it was bleeding so much! I just- I remember feeling weird after. I think I said mean stuff to Abi... I- pushed her? Wait, is she okay?! Where is-

[OFFICER] : Sir, answer our questions. What happened next?

[N. FURCILLO] : As I told you before, I. Don’t. Remember. A. Single. Thing.

NORTHKILL PRECINCT - ROOM 4

[J. CUSTOS] : Look man... I don’t understand shit to what happened, okay? Whatever you’re searching for, it’s the Hackett’s. They’re fucking crazy! Trapped me in some sicko cage- if it wasn’t for Ryan and that girl freeing me I’d still be down there-

[OFFICER] : So you’re stating that Mr. Erzahler and Miss Kearney were at the Hackett’s house around 1:30AM ?

[J. CUSTOS] : I- yeah I guess, but don’t you hear what I’m saying? I almost got shredded by that creepy ass animal, I’m telling you it’s not human- and it’s not all, those freaks covered me in what I think is blood!

[OFFICER] : Sir, can you describe the animal?

[J. CUSTOS] : Uh... animal isn’t the term man... it had some kind of- of human form? But like... long. Bloody. Just... I just want to forget it.

NORTHKILL PRECINCT - ROOM 5

[L. KEARNEY] : No, no FUCKING way. I am NOT dealing with bastards cops again! 

[OFFICER] : Lady, I’m gonna need you to calm down. Don’t make me use force. The other counselors said that you weren’t there during the camp. explain me how you disappeared for two whole months.

[L. KEARNEY] : Are you deaf? We were kidnapped by that damn cop because we stumbled into the Hackett’s fucking cursed family issues-

[OFFICER] : Speaking of the Hackett’s. We found the bodies of Constance Hackett and Christopher Hackett shot dead. You have agreed that you were at their house with Mr. Erzahler, what do you have to say about that?

[L. KEARNEY] : Listen. I didn’t do shit. It’s the old hag’s own fault that she got shot. If you had taken one look at her, you’d see she deserved it. As for Chris, he was trying to fucking kill us! Ryan saved everyone in the room by shooting him-

[OFFICER] : So you’re saying Mr. Erzahler murdered Mr. Hackett?

[L. KEARNEY] : I- no- I mean, yes but- don’t twist it like that you!- I... 

NORTHKILL PRECINCT - ROOM 7

[OFFICER] : So, you found a possible working car at the Hackett scrap yard. Why leave it to go back?

[K. KA] : I told you, we almost got mauled to death! Dylan knocked it out temporarily by dropping the car, we weren’t gonna take our chances with it. We went back to the lodge.

[OFFICER] : The lodge, right. We have found the deceased body of Caleb Hackett there, do you have anything to say about that?

[K. KA] : Wh- who? Wait, you mean Mr. H’s son? What the fuck was he doing th- Oh- oh...

[OFFICER] : He was shot, and you were the one with the shotgun in the morning. Miss, did you shoot Caleb Hackett?

[K. KA] : What?! No! What I shot was a fucking monster who was going to brutally kill Dylan and me! It wasn’t a guy, I’m telling you!

[OFFICER] : You and your coworkers keep talking about creatures and monsters. We have found alcohol bottles around the fire pit. Did you take any other kind of drug before the events of the night?

[K. KA] : Fucking hell, we only drank a beer! We were totally sober, it wasn’t some kind of hallucinations, you- [redacted].

NORTHKILL PRECINCT - ROOM 2

[E. MOUNTEBANK] : Instead of interrogating me, you should be investing. There is some serious shit going on at Hackett’s Quarry. I bet you don’t believe me. Go see in the treehouse for yourself.

[OFFICER] : We already did. All we found was Mr. Brinly there, not a single “creature”. 

[E. MOUNTEBANK] : Brinly, as in the-counselor-who-didn’t-show-up Max Brinly? The girl, Laura’s boyfriend ? Wait, so that means... Mr. H...

[OFFICER] : Yes, him. What about Mr. Hackett?

[E. MOUNTEBANK] : I- nothing. 

[OFFICER] : Miss, if you’re withholding informations-

[E. MOUNTEBANK] : I am not. Besides, I got proof. If you just give me my damn phone back, I got a picture of it-

[OFFICER] : Your phone will be looked through. Where were you at about 4AM?

[E. MOUNTEBANK] : I had other preoccupation than the damn time- ugh. I think it was when Abi and I were in the basement, or when we climbed into Mr. H’s office. The doors were locked, but you know that. 

[OFFICER] : Right. Why were you hiding?

[E. MOUNTEBANK] : We were’t hiding- I mean, well- we were trying to stay alive. It was the only place the- the... things could not hurt us.

NORTHKILL PRECINCT - ROOM 8

[OFFICER] : We are being serious here, Mr. Lenivy. As of now, three dead bodies have been found-

[D. LENIVY] : Wait, three-?! Who are they- is it- is Ryan okay? 

[OFFICER] : Mr. Erzahler is alive. It seems he was wounded but he will survive. The bodies all belong to the Hackett family. 

[D. LENIVY] : Ah, great- I mean, no! Not great, definitely, uhm-

[OFFICER] : Sir, do you confirm being in the lodge around around 4AM with Miss Ka?

[D. LENIVY] : Uh, yeah. Not so much “being” as “hiding for my fucking life”.

[OFFICER] : Miss Ka has admitted to have shot Caleb Hackett. Is it true?

[D. LENIVY] : It’s true that she saved my goddamned life, yeah. Wait, rewind a bit- Caleb Hackett? It was him? Never mind, Kaitlyn is a fucking hero and I really don’t like the way you seem to... implicate otherwise- you’re not accusing her are you?

[OFFICER] : Look, we have dead bodies on our hands. They didn’t kill themselves. Now, about Kaylee Hackett, do you-

[D. LENIVY] : Nope. No, no, not telling you anything.

[OFFICER] : Sir, you have to-

[D. LENIVY] : I don’t have to nothing. I have the right to a lawyer, and I want one. You’re not getting anything else from me.

NORTHKILL PRECINCT - ROOM 3

[OFFICER] : Miss, please. I need you to tell me what happened.

[A. BLYG] : I- it’s just so messy. So confusing... I...

[OFFICER] : How about Mr. Furcillo. He said that you were in the woods before you got attacked. Is that right? 

[A. BLYG] : It is, yeah... just because of that stupid game, God it’s my fault, if I hadn’t run away then-

[OFFICER] : Then what?

[A. BLYG] : He wouldn’t have gotten bit. That’s when it all started to go south. There was so much blood, the wound was so big... I tried to help, I really did, I swear-

[OFFICER] : What happened next, miss?

[A. BLYG] : He wasn’t the same. I spent two months with him, I just know that wasn’t Nick- he became so agressive, I had to! He would have killed me otherwise! It’s my fault he died-

[OFFICER] : Mr. Furcillo isn’t dead. We found him in the forest at dawn. Do you have any idea how he might have got there?

[A. BLYG] : He’s- he’s alive? I- woah- uh-... No sir, so I don’t have any idea. He just- left... after... yeah. 

NORTHKILL PRECINCT - ROOM 6

[OFFICER] : Mr. Brinly, do you have any recollection of the night?

[M. BRINLY] : Where is Laura?

[OFFICER] : Sir, please answer-

[M. BRINLY] : No. Where is Laura? I’m not telling you anything before you tell me if she’s alright.

[OFFICER] : Laura Kearney is fine and is at the precinct. Now, she claims that you two were held hostage by Travis Hackett, is it true?

[M. BRINLY] : Yeah it is. That asshole kept us locked. 

[OFFICER] : So, after this you escaped and went to Hackett’s Quarry. Why go there and not flee?

[M. BRINLY] : It’s.. complicated to explain. We had business to take care of.

[OFFICER] : What kind of business?

[M. BRINLY] : You wouldn’t understand. Heck, you wouldn’t even believe it.

[OFFICER] : Why don’t you try and give me your version. Your statement of the night.

[M. BRINLY] : ...I’m telling you. It’s messed up... so fucking messed up...

NORTHKILL PRECINCT - ROOM 9

[OFFICER] : Look, sir. We need you to collaborate. We can’t figure it out if you won’t tell us.

[R. ERZAHLER] : (...)

[OFFICER] : You realize that your silence isn’t helping your case.

[R. ERZAHLER] : (...)

[OFFICER] : We have several witnesses placing you at the Hackett’s house at the time of death of Constance and Christopher Hackett.

[R. ERZAHLER] : (...)

[OFFICER] : You are currently the lead suspect for those murders, don’t you have anything to say about that, Mr. Erzahler ?

[R. ERZAHLER] : (...)

[OFFICER] : Okay, we are clearly getting nowhere with this.

Jacob Custos

He may look like a jock (and act a bit like it sometimes), he has a HUGE heart. A true hopeless romantic in his core.

And right now, the boy's heart is taken by none other than you. Jacob is not the kind of guy to be oblivious to his own feelings. He likes you and he knows it, so he plans to act on it. Besides, you look like you might like him too.

So of course, he asks you on a date. When you accept, he's all giddy with happiness. But then comes a problem. He's a Hackett's Quarry. Normally, he'd take his date to the cinema or to eat somewhere. The camp's not exactly the best place to sweep someone off their feet.

There is one place though. The lake ! Which even leaves the possibility of skinny dipping open. Even better, it's far from the lodge and the cabins, so no possibility of getting caught by kids or Mr. H.

Implying, you two go there at night. With the days being so full of looking after the kids, Jacob wants privacy. He's got a lot of jokes and charming methods that can't be overheard by kids.

He obviously want to kiss you. If he feels a right moment he will go for it. Will stay light on the first date though.

Emma Mountebank

Oh, Emma. This girl lives for the thrill of adrenaline. And hanging out with you is like a shot of it. You have this addictive nature that she can't explain, but just loves.

Has no shame in being interested in you. Will flirt with you at any time. But wait, she doesn't do the obvious flirt Jacob might do. I'm talking seduction. Will brush your hand then stare at you and wink. Will give you that smirk.

One day, out of the blue, she leans into you at dinner and whispers to come to the lodge that night. Obviously you do.

The lodge at night just has another vibe, when it's dark. It's just the two of you there. Maybe doing some exploring of the rooms you don't usually go into.

If you're not an adventurous one, she'll try to stay put.

If you're not, she will want to go around Mr. H's rooms, just because she can. Explore the area.

If she feels you're up for it, she will make out with you on the spot. She loves the fun and the risk of getting caught. It just adds some spice.

Ryan Erzahler

When you look at Ryan, you see a blasé guy, brooding and mysterious. He has his own bubble, and you respect that. It's kinda hard to tell what he's feeling, or if he's feeling anything at all.

Boy if you knew. He's just bad at expressing himself, but he feels so much. Especially towards you. The boy's smitten, no matter how hard it is to tell.

He'll take his time before asking you on a date. To be sure. To get the courage and all. We're definitely into august by now. But time's getting short, and Ryan doesn't want to miss another opportunity.

You guys spend lots of time together during the day because of the timetables of your cabins. That's how you got to know each other. He'll casually ask you if you want to hang out later tonight. You block out a bit, asking to be sure if he means the night, or a date at all.

He wants to make it special. He doesn't look that way, but he's a romantic deep down. He panics a bit, not knowing what to do for the date. It's not his area of expertise. He gives it a lot of thought, and figures that what he does best is sailing.

So ! You meet at the lake, at the boat house. He got everything prepared, the rows and the boat.

At first, you hadn't expected Ryan to even break a single rule. But here you were, sneaking out a night for a boat ride ! And heck, he doesn't look very strong, but damn this boy has arms of steel.

Sadly he's probably too awkward to kiss you himself. It depends on if you take initiative or not for this one !

Nick Furcillo

Now, this boy's just shy. Has had this huge crush on you since the beginning of camp. Of course he wants to have more time alone with you, he's been dreaming of asking you on a date every night.

You'll have Jacob to thank for when Nick finally asks you out, because the big guy's been pestering him to do it for days and days.

It's a bit awkward when he asks. He may be hot af, but hasn't got no ladies yet. He's a bit clueless on how to do this, and Jacob's advice is... yeah. Eventually he gets more confident, especially when you say yes.

He tells you to meet him outside the cabins at night. But from here ? He has no idea what to do. When the time has come, he thought that he could take you on a walk to the forest, that's romantic right ?

But then. You casually mentioned that you're hungry. His mind did a full 360 and came with a new idea. You guys are now headed to the lodge ! You can barely keep up with Nick, he's so excited about his plan.

He takes you to the lodge's kitchen. You said you're hungry ? Name what you want. He'll cook it for you. You were not that hungry, a snack would have done the trick. But just to mess with him, you tell him that you want a full chocolate cake.

Oh, the mistake. Now he's getting all the supplies and measuring flour and sugar. Of course.

You decide to help him. Depending on how good you are at baking, this can be more or less chaotic. Either way, a food fight will ensue. You're covered in flour. You're both shushing each other because the laughs are so loud, you're scared to wake Mr. H up.

Once again, whether there's a kiss or not, it's up to you !

Kaitlyn Ka

Kaitlyn is a chill girl. Easy going and all. If she’s got the hots for you, she’s gonna understand it pretty soon. However, asking you on a date is another story. She may look all that confident, and she truly is, but on every angle. 

You guys start off as good to really good friends, and she really doesn’t want to mess that up. She’s seen how friendships got ruined because of feelings.

So yeah, not straight out asking. It’ll take the help of the others to push her to finally get the courage to ask you on a date. 

Once again, it’s during camp. Not your usual stuff to do. Once you said yes though, she just opts for the chill option. Sneaking out at night at the fire pit. 

She’s a bit like Emma in the sense that she enjoys the danger of getting caught. Not as much though. So, when at the fire pit, she definitely lights up a fire. A small one though, not the usual huge bonfire. 

You guys spend the date coddled up around the small fire, looking at the stars. If it went well and if the moment is right, Kaitlyn will try for a kiss. Short and brief, leaving the door open for you to do something more if you’re up to it. 

She won’t push, but she’ll be head over heels if you do. 

Dylan Lenivy

As we’ve seen with Dylan, this boy isn’t into hookups. You don’t have to be the love of his life for him to ask you on a date, but he won’t do it at first glance either.

He gets quick crushes easily, though. When you two met on orientation day at camp, his first thought was “god damn it they’re beautiful”. But hey, it’s Dylan we’re talking about. He didn’t even think that he had a chance with you.

You two start up as friends. Jesus, that guy makes you laugh sooo much. You pretty much hang out whenever you can. As time goes on, he realizes that maybe his crush isn’t as insignificant as he thought. In fact, it’s growing day by day. 

Because he has no idea how to deal with emotions, he hides behind humor. It’s the only way for him to express with flirting, indulge him. At first you thought it was only just jokes and laughed it out. But as august rolled on, you noticed that half of his jokes were about getting a date with you.

Let’s be real, you would want a date with the boy. So one day as he was randomly saying “C’mon, a night out in the radioshack with this-” pointing at himself, “you’d definitely love it !”; you just answer “sure. yeah. How about tonight ?”. He straight up blanks out. Never ever before has an answer be so efficient to shut him up. All he can get out is a “yeah” stuttered. 

He spent the whole day panicking. Did he actually had a date with you ? Was it even a date ? He’s 100% overthinking. As he sneaks up to the radioshack at night, sweating buckets, he half expected you not to come. When he does see you though, his heart starts doing somersaults. 

It may be awkward a bit at first, but you guys are quickly laughing your asses off. It’s so fun to be there at night ! 

Dylan shows you around the hut. He explains how he basically repaired it, how he loves that place. You sit next to him as he shows you how all the sound system works, being all nerdy about it. You get to see a bit of his true persona, hidden behind the jokester, and it only makes you fall more.

Sneak in a peck on his lips at some point and he would be in heaven. I don’t see him being bold enough to do it at this point though.

Abigail Blyg

She is a very shy girl. Not only in relationships, in general. Her friends pushed her to be a counselor at Hackett’s Quarry. However, she doesn’t regret it all, especially since she got to meet you.

She’s discreet. There won’t be obvious signs that she’s into you. Buuut if you’re careful enough, you’ll notice that she’s staring at you when she thinks you aren’t looking. He gaze lingering just a moment too long.

After almost all summer being into you, the others finally pushed her enough for her to want to ask you out. She won’t admit it out loud though, she hates breaking the rules.

Except when it involves you, it seems...

She won’t call it a date, she’s not bold enough sadly. But, she will succeed in asking you on a walk. Curse the heavens, you were actually busy with the children when she asked you. You’re the one suggesting a rain check after curfew.

She seems to hesitate a bit, but when your eyes lock, she agrees.

Spends the day biting her nails, worrying about tonight. She’s an anxious cookie. It’s fun when the children in her art class notice and ask her if she has a secret. She blushes as red as the apple she’s trying to paint.

You meet at the tree in the middle of the cabins. You’re a bit surprised because Abi still wants to go take a walk into the forest. But fear not ! She actually knows a certain spot, she can go there even at night. She found it by randomly wandering during the day.

You guys sit on a log, illuminated by the NOT FULL moon. Her artists instinct kick in and she has the sudden urge to draw you. And it’s so beautiful, getting to see yourself the way she sees you. 

If you’re being smooth enough in what you’re saying, you may very well get Abi to kiss you !

I feel like after all the nearly dying and killing of the night at camp, he'd somehow start to think like "fuck it. you only life once" and decide to go to the animation school he was talking to Chris about.

So yeah, he would feel bad for his family for a bit, but he'd enjoy his education I think.

Probably would start working as soon as he can for small projects that are animation related. I feel like he'd enjoy making cartoons ?

Dylan

Same as Ryan, the boy's going to follow his dreams and major into quantum physics in college. And heck yeah he's going to be good !!

I feel like he never was a big fan of school, except for the science subject. But now that he's only got those, he really excited to be in class, for the first time.

I think he'd do great as a teacher. Science is his passion, and even if he's shy, he loves to share it with others. He wants to prove that math and physics can be fun.

Probably teaches for high school, maybe middle school too.

Abigail

Art school all the way babey ! She was a bit insecure about it first, because yk, not the most stable life, and she's an anxious cookie.

But after the traumatic events of the night, art became her only refugee. The only way to get better was to draw, paint, anything to get the nightmares out of her system. She then realized she wanted to do that for a living too.

Once she graduates, she probably goes from project to project for a while. Testing stuff, living her life and enjoying it.

I feel that she would become a teacher a some point too, maybe later in her life. She was great with the kids at camp, and they loved her class.

Laura

Girl followed her dream ! She was so sure of herself, and so happy when she finally started her vet studies. After the hellish summer she went through, this felt like a huge victory.

After years of study, she started working in a cabinet and she was great there. I feel like she'd want to open her own at some point. She's a badass she'll succeed.

Max

Getting rejected from uni was hard for him. Without really knowing what to do, he started doing a few jobs here and there to save a bit of money. Get a bit of experience too.

The year after, he tries college again. He didn't think he could do it, but Laura tutored him a lot. He got in !

Majored in psychology. He's good at listening people, he's an empath you know. Wants to be a psychologist, or anything related in the field. He wants to help people, especially those with strong trauma.

If he and Laura ever have children, I'd kinda see him as a stay-at-home dad though.

Emma

Majors in communication or something. She is great at being an influencer, she knows how to sell a product. Talking to the people is her thing.

She's still going strong on social medias, and that definitely helps her getting a job later.

Probably was in marketing for a while, but she didn't really fit there. That world wasn't for her.

She then works in the communication team for small enterprises that she likes (people that organizes events, or things like this). She's the social media manager of this kind of stuff.

Kaitlyn

She has no idea what she wants to do with her life. She's a free spirit, and having to decide what her path will be right now is scary.

So she follows her parents' advice and go to college. She majors in law studies. It was bit of a random choice, but in the end she likes it quite a lot. She's good with people, and not afraid to step up.

Thinking back, during the trials against the Hackett family, she was amongst those who fought the hardest to bring the truth out.

Later, she specializes in all the case that don't have a rational explanation. She's been there, she knows what it likes. She's the best lawyer in town.

Jacob

Doesn't know what he wants to do with his life either. But unlike Kaitlyn who spent hours thinking about it, Jacob is way more chill. He goes with the flow.

He tried college. But with all the trauma and his guilt at somehow having caused them to stay, along with the breakup with Emma, the boy had it quite rough. He wasn't the best at school before, but with all the shit, college just didn't work out for him.

Like Max, he tries a lot of small jobs to get a bit of money.

Eventually he gets back on his feet and remembers what he was good at : sport. He trains and spends a lot of time in gyms, and starts working there.

Later, he either continues this way in the gym world, or becomes a sports coach in school. He was good with children, and he still is !

Nick

Nick loves cooking. But cooking schools aren't the best on resumes, at least not to his parents. So they make a deal : Nick tries college.

He and Jacob stayed tight after this summer. Thankfully, they don't even life that far, so they just went to the same college. As mentioned before, Jacob didn't stay long. Nick finished the year, but he really didn't like it.

Against his parents' wishes, he dropped and started culinary school. He moved in with Jacob, he had enough of his parents as roommates. He also took a part time job at a restaurant to afford it all (still had help from his parents though).

Stayed in the restaurant and climbed the ladder. He's happy with his cooking.

Lmao I realize that I hc a lot of them as teachers. Imagine them all teaching in the same school. Hilarious.

He is just. So concerned about your wellbeing. He randomly sends you texts like "hi how are u feeling ? Are you having a good day ?". If you're not, he'll go out of his mind to make you feel better.

Your favorite food ? Cooked. Your comfort movie ? On the TV. Your favorite blanket to be sad in ? Ready for you on the couch. Your favorite ice cream ? In the freezer.

Speaking of cooking, if you know how to cook yourself, then prepare for cooking dates. Just you two having fun in the kitchen, possibly starting a food fight.

If you don't, well in this case prepare to be well fed for the rest of your life. This boy knows how to handle his kitchen.

He also has huge parent energy. Will make you eat your vegetables and all that healthy stuff.

I don't see him being really into hookups or stuff, so when you're going into a relationship with him, it's for real. He's there for the long term (probably planning your wedding a few months in, by the way).

When it comes to cuddle, he is basically a teddy bear. He's just... so snuggly you know ? Hugging him is just so safe and comfortable.

He loves being the big spoon, he feels like he can protect you this way. Your safety is his #1 priority. However, he maybe won't admit it out loud but he also loves being the little spoon !! Pet names. Prepare for them because he's got a shit ton ready. Honey, sweetheart, sugar, somehow all related to sweetness lmao. He WILL get insanely flustered if you start to call him these too. Do it.

He cares about family, especially yours. He wants to make a good appearance, you know ? The day he gets to meet your parents he will sweat buckets he'll learn everything about them to impress them. (If you watch Brooklyn99, kinda like Jake did when he met Amy's dad, with a binder and all).

Does his best to give "i'll bring her home by 9PM" vibe, especially to your parents. If it's true or not I'll leave it to your imagination.

Earlier I mentioned that he's a walking green flag, here's a reason why : he has emotions, he knows it, and he's not too afraid to share them. He also knows that communication is key. If something you said makes him uncomfortable, he will do his best to tell you. If he feels sad or hurt, he won't keep it to himself and bottle it up, because he knows that it'll get out one day.

Encourages you to speak up about your feelings as well. He'll understand if that's not your thing, but will try his best to make you comfortable and and trust him enough to share what's on your heart.

He just has so much love to give. Loving him in return is like, the best thing that happened to you.

First of all, Nick is Australian. He probably grew up there, so even if every country know what is Halloween and some people celebrate, nobody does it like America.

So yeah, when he got to the states, he was a bit confused. He felt like Halloween was like a religion there. Sure, he got trick or treating with a few of his friends when they asked, but he never lived the full experience.

Enters Number #1 Himbo : Jacob Custos. He is DETERMINED to make Nick love Halloween as much as he does. It's his life goal since summer.

Nick won't admit it, because he feels like saying "I want to go trick or treating" makes him sound like a child, but he's really excited.

Jacob has this idea to throw a party at his house and to invite all the counselors, Laura and Max included. We all know how the last party went, so it took a lot of convincing they're still traumatized lmao but they all say yes.

Nick stayed closest to Jacob after the events of the summer. They kept in touch and texted frequently, hence how Jacob learned that he had never had a proper Halloween.

SO. Party at Jacob's ! As we know, Nick was the cook at camp, so of course he was the one who baked all the sweets and made the candies. It's insane how much work he put to make them scary. He looked at recipes for orange food and even asked Abi for scary cupcake icing ideas. He stays the day at Jacob's, who spent it decorating the house.

He even makes punch Jacob adds most of the alcohol, because he saw American teens drink it at parties.

The costumes. Oh boy the costumes. That's probably what he is the most excited about. He chose to go with Dracula. He isn't white but who cares, not all vampires are pale. The clothes look very classy on him.

Speaking of costume, everyone got a vibe check by Jacob when entering the house.

Abi is dressed as a witch, Emma as cat-woman. Jacob went full nasty and dressed as a Hot Nurse. Laura came as Frankenstein and Max as Shaggy from Scooby Doo it fits his vibe sm, fight me. Kaitlyn is a gremlin, Dylan is Mr. Spock and Ryan is a zombie. Before you ask, yes they are all hot.

Dylan wanted Nick to be Crocodile Dundee, Jacob wanted him to be a kangaroo. Nick said they were being racist. Jokingly ofc.

Whenever the door rings, Emma or Abi go to open the door. Nick always takes a sneak peek at the kids' reactions to his candies. They love it. He's very happy.

Finally, it's trick or treat time. Of course, Jacob, Dylan, Kaitlyn, Laura and Nick go. The other are either too happy or afraid to go. Max stays mostly to watch over them. He has that mom energy.

Jacob is ON FIRE. He drags Nick everywhere with him, and Nick is living. his. best. life. It's definitely way funnier than when he was a kid.

Then something happens. They ring a house's bell, and an old lady gives them fucking Peanut Butter Butterpops. One bag. Kaitlyn and Dylan burst out laughing, Laura is lost.

The contest is ON. Whoever has the fullest candy bag gets to keep the treasure.

They stay out until way too late. And maybe are too drunk.

Nick ends up again winning the contest. But because he's a kind boy and that the whole thing was Jacob's idea, they share the bag.

Pretends that his bag is so full of candies because he wanted to give them to Abi. It's a lie it was for the butterpops, but a man gotta keep a face.

Nick really enjoyed the night, his tummy will probably burst from the candies and the expired butterpops (pop pop pop 'em in your mouth !) and he can't wait for next year to do it all again.

Ryan felt like he might pass out. It was as if the whole night was catching up on his body in one single moment. Well, it did make sense, from a biological point of view. Oh, the wonders of adrenaline! But when the rush is over, all you're left with is a half healed stab wound, a dizzy head from blood loss; and the sudden, crushing realization of what happened.

Chris was dead. He killed him. The only thing remotely close to a father figure in his life, shot dead by his very own hand. How could he ever be the same again? Of course he couldn't.

The only thought that seemed to comfort him was that he wasn't alone. He wasn't the only teenager-turned-killer tonight. Laura was sitting next to him in the back of Travis's car, her expression empty.

He had thought that he would only feel bitter resentment toward her at this point. But when he looked at the shotgun on the middle seat, he couldn't help but remember her expression when she shot Silas. It was hopelessness. He realized that she didn't want to kill him, the same way he didn't want to kill Chris. But want to and must do are entirely different things.

She turned her head and met his eyes. Shit. He'd been caught staring. However, the words that left her mouth were not ones he expected coming from Laura.

"I'm sorry" she said, remorse in her voice, yet still with an edge that doesn't seem to be able to go away. "About Chris. I know you cared about him".

"I did. But did he? He lied to me, fuck, he would have killed me tonight if i didn't stop him". Woah, the night's events really start to register in my brain, he thought.

"Still. It's... it's just fucked up".

"...Yeah".

"You probably must hate me by now". Why was there such pain in her voice ?

"Y'know what? Somehow... I don't. Not at all, actually". And it was true. This must have shocked Laura, because he eyes opened wide. Funny thing, he wish he had more shocking things to say, if that meant he could get to have such a good view of her eyes. He must admit, blue suited her far more well than yellow. Oh well, they were actually pretty too in the sun's color.

Jeez. He really must have lost a lot of blood to have such thoughts.

As he drifted back into his own mind, staring at the sun rising from the window of the car, something that Laura said earlier in the mines came back to his mind like a bullet in the brain. "Trauma can bring people together".

That really had to be true, because right now, in this very moment, he felt closer to Laura than he felt to any other counselors at Hackett's Quarry, the very ones whom he spent two whole months with. Closer than with Kaitlyn, and even Dylan.

But as the car got closer to the camp, some urgent question came to him. "So... what happens now ?" he voiced.

"Shit. Big shit, I think. Police to deal with. But that's for later, i guess. If we take it one step at a time, I first have to find Max".

Oof. Why did this he feel more stabbed by this end of sentence than by an actual knife? "Oh yeah. That's right. Your boyfriend. That's why you did all this in the first place. You must be excited to see him again". He hoped the edge in his voice wasn't audible to Laura (or worse, Travis listening to them).

"Not really, actually. Breaking up with someone is never fun, you know".

"I- wait, what ?"

She sighed, as if sensing that she had to explain herself. Ryan, on the other hand, was puzzled.

"Look, I care about Max, alright ? I'd never let him stay a werewolf his whole life. He's a good guy, truly. I just... I don't think we're meant to be together. Romantically, I mean. I didn't get the guts to break up with him earlier and- well, our time in prison really wasn't the best time either. So yeah, I have to end this at some point. He deserves someone who loves him".

Ryan felt as if his brain was rewiring itself. When one little new piece of information somehow changes the whole game.

"So, hum, welcome to singles' club, I guess". Jeez, couldn't you say something better, Erzahler ?

But surprisingly, that got a laugh out of Laura. Weird, hearing her laugh after all this. He wanted to hear it again.

At some point, dawn was fully breaking, and they had reached the lodge. It was as if the little bubble that they had created in the car was going to explode. Ryan didn't want that.

He stood out of the car and took a deep breath. Thankfully, it only slightly hurt his lungs. He swallowed painfully. But the events that were going to happen will probably be a hundred times more annoying.

Suddenly, he felt Laura's hand grasping his own. His heartbeat suddenly sped up. Well, for a good thing for once in this night. When he turned to look at her though, he understood that she was as scared as he.

They both became killers that night. But just because it's dawn doesn't mean they'll stop fighting together.

Oh yeah I do have some actually ! I feel like most of Nick's relationships with the other counselors (except with Abi's) are being majorly overlooked. I know he did spend most of the game as infected or as a werewolf, so we didn't have much time to see him interact, but the boy was friend with everyone !!

But anyways, here are the headcanons I have about him and Dylan !

Nick and Dylan probably bond in the morning. Because Dylan has to be awake earlier to go to the radio shack to make his announcements, he always stops by the kitchen to take a coffee or grab something to eat. Guess who's there ? The resident camp's cook, who has to get up earlier too to prepare breakfast and such for the kids

In these times, they just probably ramble and complain about being up at such ungodly hours. If he feels like it, Dylan will help Nick a bit with the cooking

Nick always saves a cup of coffee for him

At the very beginning of the game, we get a glimpse of their friendship. When Jacob goes to search the bags, Dylan closes the door in his face, and Nick is with him in the room.

So I think it's safe to assume that the two guys definitely prank Jacob together on a weekly basis. We already know Dylan's got a knack for jokes to overcompensate his stress, but Nick definitely has a funny bone hidden in him. Dylan brings it out. (Does it make sense ??)

Giving Jacob salt instead of sugar for his cereals. Calling out the stupid things he does on the speaker so every kids can hear. Making fun of how he gets dumb when he's around Emma. They just can't stop because the himbo is so fun to prank

Speaking of relationships

It's kinda canon that Dylan's completely oblivious when people Ryan flirt with him. However, we know that he's a smart and very observant boy, so he instantly notices Nick's feelings for Abi

He teases the hell out of him at first, but when he understands that Nick's getting nowhere, he will definitely help him

It's canon !! At the beginning of the game, when Abi and Emma get their bags in the car, you can choose to nudge Nick (as Dylan) so he moves his ass and help Abi !!

"Hey Nick, let's take a detour by the art cabin ? I wanna see Abi's class" and once they get there "oops forgot I had things to do gtg bye enjoy"

I know I'm keeping those platonic but Dylan definitely finds Nick hot

Again, it's canon !! Remember during truth or dare when Ryan says that "it's like a steel grill under that shirt" (or smth) and Dylan goes like "so you noticed too ?" !!

I overall think that they really became good friends at camp. Like, we know Ryan is not the social type so he probably stood in his own bubble most of the time, and Jacob probably spent his own time flirting / being with Emma, so Nick and Dylan were kinda left out together to bond lmao
