So, if I’m gonna die, well, it might as well be driving my sword through the heart of that murderous hag.

my interpretation of wtf was up with the mark during trespasser, burning from the inside out. i’d always thought it would be interesting if the mark spread like a marrow infection—in the final stages you could actually see the bones glowing—hence why when solas took away the mark the arm couldn’t be salvaged. i also REALLY like the idea of the mark starting to glow through old scars when it spreads.

You know, sometimes all you need is twenty seconds of insane courage. Just literally twenty seconds of just embarrassing bravery. And I promise you, something great will come of it.

Stop the car! You were so much more fun when you were asleep.
we’re all killers. we’ve all killed parts of ourselves to survive. we’ve all got blood on our hands. something somewhere had to die so we could stay alive.

Ah, yes, this looks like the best place for camp. On the rocky shore, next to the turbulent, stormy ocean, surrounded by more easily defensible higher ground. No, this is fine, this is what we want.
On further reflection, I’ve decided this is the equivalent of a practical joke by the scouts. “Hey, dude, watch this, the Inquisitor will set up camp fucking anywhere, just watch.”
Lavellan: “Oooookay… well whatever, shems wanna sleep in the tide zone, not my problem”
Cadash: “Oh I get it, hazing the new boss, right? Welp, time to call their bluff. Have fun in the surf assholes, I’ll be sleeping in a bush up the hill”
Adaar: “Aha. A test of strength. Spend the night in the cold, wet gravel to prove my mettle to my troops? CHALLENGE ACCEPTED.”
Trevelyan: “Well if this is what the brave souls of my scouting corps believe is best, who am I to question it”
Mage Trevelyan: “LOOK I DON’T FUCKING KNOW I CAN COUNT ON ONE HAND THE NUMBER OF TIMES I WAS ALLOWED TO GO OUTSIDE AT THE CIRCLE”
"I thought you were dead." ((For Drion, of course))
“I didn’t mean to…I wasn’t supposed to…I thought…” He took a deep breath, standing before her not really moving, unable to even look her in the eye.
“I got lost, I couldn’t find my way…I’m sorry Fay, I’m sorry.” He moved forward and looked to their feet, waiting for her to say something. Always at her beck and call.
“I never meant to leave you behind.”
She stared at him, her eyes studying the man she had so deeply missed. Her fingers ached to touch him and make sure that this was really him, that he was really there in front of her, but she stopped herself. “At least tell me you didn’t get hurt on the way back,” she said after a long moment.
“I know you wouldn’t leave me behind on purpose. I just…I really thought you had died.” Fay watched him for a moment longer, before stepping forward and throwing her arms around his shoulders. “I’m just so glad you’re back. Don’t ever go off like that again, okay?”
“Okay.” He agreed readily, wrapping his arms around her middle, burying his head in her shoulders. He stood there, holding her, as long as she allowed him. It had been so long, he couldn’t fathom it. He wasn’t seriously injured anymore.
“I broke my arm the first week, but its, its better now.” He promised. He wasn’t a healer by any means, but he;d met one who’d set it, and boy was he glad for that, couldn’t hold her otherwise.
Though it was a little stiff still.
