It's crazy that the mother/earthbound series were kids games, and I can understand why they didn't sell too well at their time of release. They deal with a lot of things that are unfathomable for kids games. The dialogue is intense, well written, and heartfelt, and the game even deals with actual death of characters rather than just "fainting" and coming back to life like other RPG's of its time. Within the first chapter of Mother 3, Hinawa (your mother/wife, depending on what character you are) is killed and there's an in game funeral. Underrated game. 10/10.

On my bands radio debut, we played our EP from front to back which was cool, but then they made the mistake of interviewing a few of the dumbest fucking people in all of Worcester County. When asked the question "if you were a salad, how would you be tossed?", our drummer Max responded with "Violently". We thought the stupidity had ended with the interview, but then when the interviewee asked us if we had any final words for the listening audience, our silent protagonist guitarist, Matty, spoke up for the first time in the whole interview and said "My condolences to Gandhi". Wouldn't trade any of these laughs for the world.
