David Dabner, Letterpress and Typographer, Educator and the funniest man in London.
After two days of assessment I was impressed with the quality of some of the projects. It was incredibly inspiring to see such high standards of typography and most of all creative thought and analysis. This is a testament to the UK graphic and typographic education system and their students; congratulations to each awarded student and tutor.
It is not easy to receive an ISTD pass award (must receive an above grade of 60% outside of the project school brief); projects who received awards have above average typographic standards and typographic interpretation of the brief.
We assessed 185 portfolios at the Assessments on Saturday/Sunday. Pass: 50 awards; Merit: 11 awards; Commendation: 5 awards

First Class Graphic Design student Adhila Marzook went to London to receive her ISTD (International Society of Typographic Designers) award for the Design Education Manifesto project she submitted last semester.
