Drawtober #4: Moth Girl⠀

I had a hard time coming up with a pose I liked, so I just drew her as a character design / mock-up sort of thing. Pretty generic and boring pose, but shows a decent side angle to start with if I ever want to come back and do something with her.⠀

Her tail needs to be fatter. So do her wings. And her antennae. She needs a total fluffing.⠀

Catch-up time! I only have sketches for the recent two Drawtober prompts. First is wolfsbane, which is a very pretty flower. What was in mind didn't quite turn out, particularly around the head, so more playing is needed I think.⠀

The second prompt for #Drawtober ended Thursday, but here's my result. Just a sketch this time, and one I probably won't finish. I love undead dragons, but they are difficult with me.⠀

This is how far I got with Drawtober prompt #1 - this is my witch’s garden! The “ink” layer is done and she’s ready for color, accessories, backgrounds, anything else I want to do should I want to finish her.

Hey, so I really like the way she’s coming out. Comment below what colors you think would look best, or things that should be added! I drew some specific flowers and mushrooms, but the great thing about fantasy is that things don’t have to adhere to their real-life inspirations, so the colors can be wild.

First post time! I’m trying the Tumblr thing just in time to start Drawtober - what a coinkidink. I like what Drawtober is doing, giving me about a week per drawing. So, all other projects are getting set aside in favor of drawing 4 dragons this month (can’t quit the day job, though)!

Drawtober #1 is “The Witch’s Garden”. My MO is character art, not background, so I’m trying to layout what a dragon might look like if it were a garden. For witches. I need to play around with the shroom wings a bit more - they’re on the small side - and there needs to be more floweriness all over its back, leaves, shrubbery, vines, etc. But not too bad for a 15min start!
